I use a 2.5mm drill bit for the coil and do a 5/6 wrap of 28awg for a 1ohm coil. 60mm of 500mesh. Works flawlessly. No dry hits. No shorts.

Sent from my Samsung S III running on SS mesh and kanthal.

I have seen a lot of people moving to the 28 gauge kanthol. Do you really like it that much better than the 30 or 32? Thinking about switching but just haven't jumped yet. Is there a noticeable difference in vapor/flavor production or is it just ease of installation? Thanks for the info.

It's pretty common that your coil won't be perfect while you're still learning to roll the perfect wick.

You can do one of two things or a combination of both:

1) Make your wick a bit wider by shoving a toothpick in it and pushing it out so it's a little larger and fits the coil better.

2) Losen the negative nut, gently tugging the coil and that will snug up the bottom couple coils, repeat same process at the top.

I did both and bam the vapor is there, but still a odd burnt taste but not burnt?

Could have tainted your juice..I have done that before on a full tank....remove juice drop directly onto coil vape..do that a couple times. If it still tastes burnt try another wrap or rewrap.

I started with 30g and moved to 28g a few weeks later. I didn't notice a big difference in flavor, but I did see a increase in vapor. I think it's just due to the fact you can wrap more without having a 3 ohm coil or worse. More surface area in contact with juice and wick. I've been running a 4/5 wrap and after a few days it usually levels off to around 1.1 ish ohms. Works great for me so far. Seems to heat the wick quicker than the 3/4 or 2/3 of 30g. Just have to be careful with it, especially if you use the 18350 tube because you can really stress a batt with 28 if you don't wrap enough.

Ya that extra low resistance is always a concern to me.

also, I will have switches every week until they quit selling and they will be no more. I will check back later, I'm gonna go be a terrible husband and watch a movie with the wife, be back later to chit chat :)

OK, I'd already been impressed by the great reviews of the iHybrid, and how it looks. Based on that alone I'd have bought one.

If someone had told me the guy who makes 'em was capable of this kind of high-grade sarcasm, though, I'd've bought one a long time ago. Snark rules.

So my new switch was getting pretty crunchy and was starting to stick sometimes. I pulled it all apart and it seems that maybe the post from the base of the switch (the part you push with the threading for the brass screw) that goes through the housing (the piece with the base points) is just a little to thin maybe? It looks like there is enough room between the post and the housing for it to move side to side and kind of grind as it's pushed. I hope this makes sense... hard to word. There is enough room between the two for the switch to lean while inside the housing instead of being just up and down movement. I put magnets in it from my standard switch and it seems to be a little better for the time being. Anyone else having this issue? It was smooth as butter for the first few days, but got pretty rough kind of quick.
