I'm really digging that red grruss. I was going to buy the red and green but then it becomes a Christmas APV..lol.

Now I kind of wish I had gotten the red...oh well there will be plenty of opportunities!

BTW, Face is right. The pics do not do it justice. The red is HOTT!!

If you’re having trouble with hot spots I suggest wrapping your coil with a syringe needle inserted in the wick to keep it tight.

AND, turn the PV. Works better than trying to wrap the wire around the wick. That was the tip that solved it for me, with or without rolling paper.

So, I got mine today... I was excited.... But...

I cannot get over the locking mechanism... Is it just me or to turn and lock that thing is a pain... It had actually jammed, the threading on mine was for the lack of better word... crap... If I could pick one part to be stainless steel I would;ve picked that since I am used to smooth locking mechs..

Like its still flaking aluminun as I turn it, is it supposed to be a grinding feeling to turn the lock?

Havent fire this bad boy up as I am ocd and I cannot get over this for the love of god...... Can I lube up the threads or something?

I just fixed my tank short without a torch, Gas stove FTW...lol. I'm really surprised it worked...usually the stove doesn't have enough heat but I guess if you flame it long enough and it's a minor short it can work.

Glad you got back up and vaping, great tip for the torchless.

Put some Vaseline on the threads, it will work wonders.

It's pretty common even in the most high end PV's. Sometimes a small burr in the thread will cause it to not act properly. It happens in stainless as well...I had to really work in some of threads on a GGTS and I had a penelope that had a locking nut that simply wouldn't go on. You can cut the threads in as others have mentioned with Noalox or Vaseline. Get a little bit in there and work it back and forth until it's smooth and then wipe out any extra. The threading on my locking ring is so smooth now I can open or close it with the flick of a single finger.

I'm not sure you could oxidize a wick with a gas stove but it worked to fix up a wick. One of my friends borrowed my torch RIGHT as I developed a tank short. The irony.

It's as if the wick just knew the torch had left the house. He drove away, I took a drag and bang the coil I'd been happily vaping for two days with no problems popped.

Works great now though.
