Thats a great idea! Its nice to know a bit about you, and I will follow you. Ahem...

Name is Scott, I'm 36 years old and I am married to my best friend with two hellions for children. (They are awesome) Two boys ages 7 and 4. I am a physician consultant and my wife is an elementary teacher (2nd grade). My hobbies are vaping, gaming, and doing things to bring my wife to WRATH!

We live in Coppell, Texas, which is a suburb of Dallas. I was born in New Orleans, but I got to Texas as fast as I could! I own a HR, and I f5'd for that, and I will be f5ing much more in the future as well.

Oh, and my anniversary is April 17th. One year.

It is a great idea, here it goes.

Name is Brendan, 25 years old, not married but been with my lady friend going on 10 years now. No kids for me, I know my patience limit. I've lived in Austin TX my whole life and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. Unfortunately I work in retail for the time being, hope to change that soon. Hobbies are vaping and PC building/gaming, dabble in RC stuff as well. Been vaping for 3 years or so, and since my iHy purchase have given away most everything else. Own a HR and a standard so far. Nice to meet y'all :D

Nope. I can't find any C rating info either.
I've been looking at that mod, it super sleek and seems nice and portable. One problem though, I can't find any discharge ratings for 14650 IMR's... Do you have any idea of the C rating or amp limit for any of those batteries?

Lots of great info guys. Thank you for the suggestions. When I get home from work I'll cut a bit of the wick off to thin it out. I was having the same issues with a 4 wrap of 30ga and I had assumed the loss of flavor may be due to too much heat at the coil. 3" long sheet of mesh didn't seem like it would be too thick as I have heard of people starting with 4" and getting good results.

I'll test my switch for resistance before I mess with things too much. I had previously used a sheet of 2x2 and I was getting good flavor but it was overwicking to the point that darkened juice was leeching back into the tank so I went with 3" to try and remedy it.

Loss of flavor would lead me to assume underwicking but the coil buildup and obvious boiling at the coils points at overwicking again. Lots of conflicting evidence so it's really hard to pinpoint what's causing everything. It's taking so long to heat the wick which is the party that is confusing me the most. Could that be caused by a short in the wick hole maybe?

I'm pretty sure my coil is reading around 1.8ohm. That's plenty enough power from a carto at 3.7v from my experience so it's odd that's not enough for the iHy. 1.8ohm on my lavagen has been enough, if not too much heat for most of my juice. Can't vape most of my favorite juices in that though due to the acrylic material.

Sent from my phone.

Hey jinxt

I have the same problem. I was running a Cobra and it was putting out great vapor but next to no flavor. Took the cap off and noticed the juice was boiling on the wick. So I put it in a less dense, loosely rolled wick (still with no center hole) and the boiling problem went away. I also had the same problem of the coils taking a long time to glow. As far as I could tell, the dense wick turns into a heat sink and really causes the delay. So both problems solved with a thinner wick.

No problems with vapor but I'm still not happy with the flavor. Do let us know how your new wick turns out.

Ya I love Texas, really miss being there. I was born in Houston and raised in Odessa. But now I'm surrounded by Yankees in Connecticut. Lol.

Ya those travel nurses make great money, but it would be tough with a wife and kids. If I were to do it all over, I would be a CRNA. Doc money, but less school! Ive actually thought about going back to school for it, but it would take a while.

The Hospital I work for has 760 Beds, and I am actually a hired float nurse. I am on staff, but can work anywhere. They just call prior to my shift and tell me where to go. It is a pretty sweet deal if you are experienced enough to work in all the areas. I make good money, so I can't complain. Thought about going to CRNA school about 10 years ago, but all my family obligations made it impossible. I'm glad I stayed at the bedside though, I really do enjoy it.

Curious... not sure what kind of coil would be safe without that info. I'll keep digging.

It is a great city if you can take the heat! That's the only thing that has ever made me consider moving. San Marcos is good fun, tube the river and enjoy a nice cold brew. :D

That does sound like a great gig. You are a travel nurse in your own hospital! Always a change. That's cool.
