Yeah it is, I’ve got three of those 18650’s from Provape and they all are just a tad short. They still fire perfect just not as tight as they should be. It really doesn’t matter though because like you I love the 18350 mode. Only thing is when it’s in short mode and in my pocket it’s harder to keep it upright.

Hmmm have you locked the switch to determine if it's the switch rattling and not the batt. I say that because before I went to magnets my switch rattled but the batt fit without any movement. I had to tighten the locking switch to determine the source of the rattle and it indeed was the switch and not the batt.

You might want to ask Faceless about it. The threads on mine are bang on perfect for all 5 of my AW 18650's. The last couple twists are very snug as I imagine the bottom white piece compresses just a tiny bit. Can't get the battery to move at all inside if I tried.

Yeah I’ve locked the switch down tight held it at the top and give it a little shake and still have play in the battery tube. It’s the battery moving around for sure. I think the threads on the 18650 tube my not be cut quite far enough. The 18350 tube works perfect without the rattle. Who knows maybe Faceless sent me one of the new tubes for the kick? Wish I one to try.

Got my Ihybrid today and think it is "Brilliant"

So easy to wick..no hot spots and the vapor and flavour is fantastic..

Was holding off on ordering the coloured tubes ( another $150.00 ) But now I have used it WANT THEM ..

Is there anyway to shortin the center post on the positive screw to get
rid of the gap. My 18650 gives me a gap and I don't want to use an o ring.

That's odd... None of my tubes give me tha gap with the 19650. Only the 18490/kick combo.

The 18650 I have is from provape. 2000mah about 9 monts old

Ok, so.... I have 6 different aw's from old to 3 new, some rattle, some fit perfect, some are too long lol. Its the measurements of the battery. I would say it depends on when you bought them but thats also not the case. I just got 3 more 18650's and 2 are perfect and 1 is too long. It looks like the old stock is in with the new, so there is no way to tell what you're getting. I don't even think any of them are the same size lol. Is it possible that some are not true AW's?? Hmmmm I might just discover that. I was in a vape store before and the guy asked me what battery I use, I pulled it out and showed him. His response was it wasn't a real AW, he could tell by the writing. I thought he was crazy lol. Semms he might be right. He told me not to order from the place I got them and its a very well known place and cheapest I have found. Lots of people have fake AW's if thats the case, uh oh!!

Their are counterfeit AW bats out there. Unless the supplier is buying directly from AW they might be counterfeit.

Thats awful!! Wish I knew who to buy from, I bought mine from 3 different places and they are all different sizes but have the same writing, I think they are all fake lol.... I don't want to post where I got them, because I don't like to cause problems or bash other companies, but if I find an AW I find that isnt fake, I will post the link. The measurements aren't off by much, some .5mm, some 1mm, but that makes a huge difference when designing a unit to fit the battery perfectly

I would not put rubber in there personally. The delrin is much more stable, and will not deform over time, will not be nearly as effected by heat, etc..
Personally, I'd take a little bit or rattle over replacing the delrin with a rubber replacement. I'm also not a fan of un-necessary pressure being placed on these batteries, even if its a soft rubber.

PS, I'm not sure that ALL batteries produced by the same manufacturer will even be 100% precise with regards to tolerance in dimensions (particularly length). Keep in mind, historically, the overwhelming majority of devices (flashlights etc...) that these would be used in use springs which are pretty forgiving...

May be worth trying to get in touch with the manufacturer and get their guidance on this..

So, since I only opposed the thought instead of offering a solution...

What if the delrin was made to just be a ring which could float up / down with a spring "under" it in the base of the switch. The spring (same diameter as the delrin) could be made to fit in a groove in the delrin and push the delrin up against the battery.

You may have to add a very little bit of length to the switch to accomodate, but it would then custom fit to each battery when tightened, and the function of the switch itself would remain in tact..

Depends how much its worth to eliminate a little rattle..

Nah, it's just how it is.
If you fix it they will change the battery again.

Yes Faceless, tons of knock off AW's out there unfortunately.

I've purchased from 3 different vendors and all of mine are identical so I think I've found some good vendors. The knock of battery racket has been around for a long time.

Faceless: I just got my colored tubes. They look AMAZING, especially the green is truly BEAUTIFUL!

Funny - when I ordered, I didn't realize they came with the mini tube as well, I was very happy to find it in there.

Now, I feel really, really bad because I had forgotten everything about having requested a replacement top cap! You didn't forget! Geez, man, thank you... I'll send the old one your way ASAP. And you also sent me a spring! You're the best.
