Question: Is the new stock of fused quartz tanks provided by a different source? I ask because I just got 2 in on Friday after breaking my original and it seems like the inner diameter of the glass has changed slightly. The original didn't budge at all when it was on the atty and needed a little finesse to get on/off but this new one I currently have on spins super easy and slides up and down with almost zero resistance. I've accidentally moved it up the atty a few times while re-coiling this morning and got a little juice in the tank protector threading. It doesn't leak, but it caught me off guard. It's not due to juice on the o-rings lubing it up as that didn't make any difference on the original. The good thing is it makes it super easy to take the tank off. The bad is that it seems less stable. Since it's not leaking it's really not a problem, but like I said it kind of caught me off guard when it went on so damn easy.

Try wiping the juice off the Orings with a paper towell, before putting the tank on next time.

LOL, that made me laugh.

of course you could switch to size 15 o rings, if i;m right the iHy uses size 14 for the tank just like zen's do.

Guys, I hate to interrupt this :D but please consider going and submitting your comments to the FDA. I know ECF has a banner about it, but it's worth another reminder.

Find more info here.

Submit your comments here: Regulations.gov (there is a blue button in the right upper corner).

Thanks. I apologize in advance, but I will repost this a few times until the deadline.

quoting this to repost for good measure. this is something that effects all of us very greatly, and unless we all wanna be stuck using 4mg pre-filled Blu cartridges with no flavor taxed out the hoo-ha, we should all take a few minutes to submit comments. knowing our government, there's little chance our comments will help, but they most certainly will not hurt. unless we can get these regulations shot down, we all better start buying gallons of concentrated nic juice right away and stockpiling it in a freezer in our garages. i kid you not, the powers that be do not like what we're doing one bit, and they'll start throwing suppliers in jail left and right and not even blush. if you think for a second this isn't serious, just have a look at the history of the FDA when people do things that upset their funders. i'll give you a hint: it's not pretty. please take a few minutes to submit a comment, this is the end of the line for us vapers and our only outside shot of keeping even a shadow of our beloved cottage industry alive. they will destroy this industry and the livelihoods of all involved in the blink of an eye, then stand proud like they did us all a favor.

LOL! Believe it or not, when the new ones came I actually took yours off my iHy to give back to you and put one of the new ones on (which is how I noticed the difference between the two). You will be getting yours back unmolested :vapor: As soon as my AO comes in I'll be pouring some in a 3ml bottle and getting it to you with the tank :toast:

Note: The first thing I did was clean the atty as I was switching juices at the same time, so the o-rings were wiped off and dry.

*Edit* Charger: Yes, from the new stock at Yuma

+1 Please go comment people. Whether or not it will help remains to be seen, but like he said it can't hurt. I for one am stockpiling for the Vape-ocalypse just in case. Nic in the freezer, enough for me and all of our converts for a couple years, though I should probably buy more. If the industry does get screwed I'd like to be able to keep DIYing for at least a few years afterwards, during that time hopefully weaning us all off nicotine. But still... ...

Done and thank you for posting it in this thread, I would have never saw it, I know my little letter won't help, but many of us together might have a impact even the slightest chance is something we should shoot for!

EDIT; Still trying to figure out this multi quote:mad:

Keegan and Huffelpuff, nice pics, that is one beautiful Hybrid! Anyone know the shelflife of Nic liquid? I wonder if freezing will cause Degradation of VG or PG, does anyone have any info? Hate to go buy a bunch and place in a freezer and destroy the properties of the VG. I would think an unopened bottle with shaded glass container in a temperature controlled, light sensitive environment could last for several years. This may be something we all need to look into soon if we want to continue to use our beloved hybrids with nic in them.

Ok, here we go, let me know what yall think...... One last run of standards, going to get out lots of colors and keep those coming as long as there is demand, the new iHy will be 22mm wide and available in SS or Titanium and I will continue the LE's which are also interchangeable with the color tubes.

I am planning a mechanical mod that will also have limited editions, sorry about yalls bank accounts. Price isnt determined on the future ihys, but they are already about to be produced, I have already made the drawings and just need to make them, bare aluminum is just too hard to keep in perfect shape, especially the difficulty of threading both ends while in a chuck, SS and TI believe it or not is much easier to handle and machine.

In the immortal words of former Olympic Games President Juan Antonio Samaranch.....Let the games begin!!!

There is a chemist on ecf that claims to have a 10 year supply of nic in VG that he keeps in the freezer. He said VG gets very thick in the freezer and the molecules can’t move too much and cause oxidation. I bought a three year supply of nic on PG that I keep the freezer. The freezer will not hurt the nic.
