I can see a recessed section on the one that works. That would be where the area of the button that does not have treads sits. The one that doesn't work has threads that go all the way up and no "cone, bevel, recess".

When face comes on ask him but it seems to me that, this is your problem.

Gotta be, right? The threads are in tip top condition.

Top is the one that works, bottom doesn't.

I can see a difference now

Using my iPad and the pinch and spread technique , the thread on the 18650 tube all have the peaks of the threads present but on the 18350 tube the peaks are flattened and further down the threads show signs of grooves splitting the flattened peaks of some of the threads.....it doesn't appear the grooves cross the flattened peaks (cross thread like) but the flattened peaks would definitely bind the new switch from tightening down correctly. My guess is you primarily use the 18350 tube and the long term use have dulled the peaks in both the old switch and the 18350 tube. Again just a guess.....I'm in no way an engineer or master of threads in any way.

I never actually used the 18350 tube, I fitted the old switch on there to check it out, but at the time I was all about battery life, so I stuck with the 18650 tube. The 350 is basically brand new.

Shai - we know brass inserts are in the finished product. I HAVE one that I purchased from him (just not using it). We were talking about if he is buying stock that is pre-drill and already has the brass in it. Also, I think he is turning his own brass - It makes sense, as he has all brass drip tips, and if you look at the other materials, it is no just a tube - the base of the whole dt is brass, unlike the bullys that just use a tube.

I don't know why your response came up in that post bro....I was responding to ME1969's :p I must've accidentally clicked on the multi quote button.....I was rushing through the threads before heading to work....
