Remember when glow-in-dark O-rings were the new craze? Everyone had to have them... Hardly see that anymore... everyone wants the colored ones now.

Not really  I didn't get into the whole o-ring thing til about 5 minutes ago lol. Before I was kinda just skipping over those conversations

Hmm those light green glow-in-the-dark o-rings would probably look sick on my GE tho

I have a feeling the craze is coming back.

Is it needed GRUSS?
I had a bliss and liked a single wick more than a dual.
If I remember correct one wick was in the juice the other wasnt.

Dunno, but now that I have all of these attys coming, I have to give it a try, don't I?

Just got on the list for the stratus atty and picked the single wick option. Hopefully its the right choice. I was debating between the single and the dual wick option. I figured I need to take it one step at a time. hahaha getting in over my head already!

First things first get the new iHybrid set up and start vaping like I never thought was possible. lol Can't wait! Hear too many good things

So, I have a Synthesis, a Bliss, and a Cobra incoming. I'm going to need some smart people with advice on u-wicks & dual wicks. My first foray.

I don't think I fit into the smart category but I've made a few:

Cross cut your mesh. This is going to make it 10 times easier not to kink the bend. You want a strip of mesh with the grain running diagonally across it. This will make any wick you real extremely springy and easy to bend. After you have it rolled simply grab it by both ends and bend it until you have your U in the top, torch the U portion and it will just stay that shape. I find it much easier to wrap the coil on the wick before it's installed. If you do it after you have to thread the wire through and keep looping it. It's kind of a hassle to get nicely snugged but not too tight coils.

That being said...unless you're having wicking issues I'm not sure it's worth the hassle. I'm vaping a couple Hellfires back to back here, one with a U wick and one with a tightly rolled 200. Same juice. Struggling to see the difference....since wicking is not an issue. I can get a longer pull off the U wick but it's so way beyond my regular pulls that it doesn't matter.

Good stuff, Zeke. And, yeah, when I said "smart people" you were the first person that came to mind, so don't sell yourself short.

Since I like a longer draw, it sounds like I might benefit from the u-wicks.

Stalker chris and scubatadan have good videos on u wicks. Took me a few (dozen) tries but once you get it right it's easy peasy. I take the mesh, cut on the bias androll it - use a piece a bit longer than you need. Massage it (pull it while rolling) w/ fingers to a curve then cross bottom ends of the wick - torch the top of the u to tighten it up. The heat makes the u smaller** without putting any unnecessary kinks in the mesh.

**Edited to add: this works on a very thin wick for my HF, don't know what the size of the wick hole is for Synthesis or if this would work as well here.

You will love the Stratus! Single wick is just plain awesome! My 2nd one is on it's way with the dual option. Let us know if you set yours up this way, and how it compares.
