yes I can remember looking at the Zen site, never visited his forum here, and I read everything but it seems like once I seen a notice on the site saying they would have more soon, but it was gone within an hour.

I knew the GG had gone to advanced order and that seems to be helping, and yes they are keeping it very reasonable price wise for what these are and the work put into them, I haven't handled or seen up close any of the others, but damn the craftsmanship on this iHybird is excellent.

Hi everyone! I wanted to let you know "The iHybrid Helpful Reference Links" is up-to-date AND there's some great changes. The sheet is now condensed for "technical" issues, mainly. It's now in categories...please take a moment to look at it?

- How-to & Fixes
- Supplies
- Videos & Links
- reviews

I hope you like the new set-up. The "Master List" is still here...if you prefer that (just click on the file header at the bottom of the page).

Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Thanks everyone!

Looks like someone was messing with my iHybrid at work today and cracked my tank. Here is a pic of my face when I came back to my desk and realized what happened.

Hi Ezkill (or anyone who might know the answer to this question).... Does ebay have a decent priced torch that would work for the mesh burning? I've looked at some but don't want to get more than I need. I want to it to be functional but affordable....like everything. LOL

Thanks :)

It's kind of subjective and comes down to personal taste, heat of the vape, amount of throat hit etc.

325x325 SS mesh 304-316 grade for 100% VG juice.
Try a "standard" 3/4 wrap of 32 AWG Kanthal to start. This means you will have 4 wraps on one side of the wick and 3 wraps on the other.

That's kind of a good standby. You can adjust amount of coils up or down to see what you like better.

All you really need is mesh, wire and some sort of torch for oxidizing the wick.

I'm using a creme brule torch from Amazon. I think it was around 30 dollars.

Any of those mid sized butane torches will push sufficient heat to do a wick decently fast. The big features for me were it stands on it's own and you can lock the flame. Holding those triggers for the time it takes to oxidize a wick just ins't that much fun so make sure you get one with a flame lock.

Liking the switch with the magnets Faceless sent. I put the small and large one in the bottom and the larger one on top. It's a pretty beefy throw but I like it a lot. I think moving the smaller magnet to the top and leaving large one in the bottom would make it lighter? I'm sure you Zen folks know the answer to that one.

So what I am gathering is that you all have many of these nice toys

I have a Zenesis AYS, I bought a mini on the sale that crashed Zen's servers and when he came over to deliver it he brought an extra AYS he had instead. I won a ZAP from Vapor Wall, I broke down and bought a Provari mini to put it on. (Those are easy to get but pricy and not worth it unless you have a great atty to put on them, IMO) And I have the iHybrid which are also pricy but I exchanged design work for it, and totally worth it 'cause it's a stand alone unit of fantastic quality.

So I have 3 good PVs, my fiance has one Zen Mini he got from the same catastrophic sale night. Other than that we have the little 808 pen cigs we started with and a few basic eGos. I ihave enough for now.. my ZAP is misbehaving, putting out really weak vapor. I need to rewrap it I think, it's running like over 4 ohms resistance which is like twice what it should be. So it's sitting unused til I have time to rewrap it. My AYS and iH are in rotation on my desk, the iH is getting 80% of the use the last week though. It's just performing soo well.

ok stupid question time, what do the magnets do?

Replace the spring inside the switch. if you remove the brass screw in the bottom of your switch the switch comes apart and there is a spring in there.

Some people prefer the smoother throw of magnets. Magnets also don't wear out over time as eventually the spring will lose it's springiness. Takes a long time for a spring to wear out but it eventually will.

I got my magnets, 2 thick, 1 thin. So I put 1 thick in the bottom and 1 thick or thin in the top ???

I *think* but I havent tried all of it. Three magnets would be the hard throw, it's pretty beefy. 2 thick magnets would be a medium throw and 1 thick in bottom and 1 thin up top would be very light.

Logically that's what makes sense to me but I haven't tried it as I'm using all three.
