It's sealed on top so the juice in the tank doesn't get into the battery housing.. the only vent is on the bottom in the switch so no way to do the balloon trick, really. There is a good amount of air space between the side walls and the sides of the switch itself though, why it has to be pushed to the side to make contact. iHybrids and Zens are both also designed for specific battery sizes, someone would be hard pressed to stack batteries in them and that's where the real danger comes.

Ok I think I'm set. Just ordered a kick, 2 19490's, and 2 18350's.

Right with ya, buddy. Although I may need a couple more 18350's. I need to keep a couple for my Zen Mini. I'll probably use this one more with the 18490's and the kick though. Really looking forward to a regulated genny.

Hello everyone! I have been on ECF for almost 3 years and recently became a registered supplier. I have been working on a fully customizable Hybrid APV.

The iHybrid is completely customizable:
It will come with 2 different battery tubes (mini/18350 and standard/18650), will also support a 18500 with a kick.

Price: $250 + shipping (full kit, standard and mini tube included, allen wrench, tank, o-rings) Not included: drip tip, kanthal, wick material, batteries.

I didn't get a balloon, but I tried blowing through the Zen switch, both 'at rest' and activated. Seemed sealed tight. Then, tried blowing through the battery tube. Same result. There is still plenty of room in there. Battery rattle that everyone complains about and all. I guess I figure if I use these devices as designed with the proper batteries and all, I'll be okay.

on the zenesis when you press the button the vent opens

I've never used a kick...do I want to?

Maybe... Ever noticed how the characteristics of the vape changes over the course of the battery life on your AYS? The kick would make that stop. Vape would be the same from new battery to dead battery. Kick also tells you when it's time to replace the battery. Gives you regulated wattage all the way. Many say it's not necessary. I'm doing it mostly out of curiosity.

It'll also give you the same vape regardless of coil resistance so you have a little room to screw up your coil.

IMR batteries do not vent.

Any word or pics on the Vent of this pv yet?

My opinion is its just like the zenisis hidden in the button, being a mechanical mod.

That video has really got you going Uma. Do the balloon test just like that dude did, but do it on the Zen switch. Maybe that will relieve your anxiety.

Personally I trust that Mike has provided this APV with all the safety features we will ever need. He has mentioned extensive testing on batteries to determine what were the safest. I believe that he did those tests with our best interest in mind and concern about being held personally liable if something were to happen. So if he did so much delving into testing batts, I trust he did equally as much or more testing of the venting capability of the Zenesis APV itself.

I am going to try and answer a few of Zenfidels questions right here, I know ripple is upset and everyone has their opinions, I'm sure some people might not even like the iHybrid as not everyone likes the Zenesis. Everyone is different. So here goes:

- I have a Zenesis standard, Katana, G-bell, DID, Genesis Line, Z atty pro, and other PV's. I didn't like features on all of them (my opinion), The zenesis was the only one close to fulfilling my wants.
- I took specs from the Zenesis and katana and added my own ideas based on what would make me truly satisfied.
- The switch will release air when slightly pressed, it has been tested and it vents.
- I loved the tank sleeve and locking switch on the katana but I didnt like the top portion or it not looking level. I made the iHybrid level and its made to blend with other parts from the Zenesis. I did this with the genius idea that if I am out of tanks and you need one, Zen sells them (his standard tanks fit the iHybrid). His tank orings will fit my whole unit. They are all the same size. That being said, his top cap will not fit mine lol.
- The katana accepts a kick but you have to place something beside it because the kick spring has to touch the side of the battery tube. I fixed this issue and the kick fits perfect, no modifications are needed.
- The orion had the flush design and I used that to combine everything else, to have a sleek unit.
- I changed sizes and modified everything else to fit what I wanted in a hybrid.
- I only fixed and added what would make me happy, I have read this whole thread and I'm listening to suggestions. I will be adding 2 wick holes and it will be the iHybrid V2, but the release will not be soon.
- I added the selection of being able to customize your iHybrid any way you want. Green sleeve, black tube etc. I loved that Idea and made it that way so you didnt have to buy a whole iHybrid unit just to have a different color. The economy is bad and I tried to think of a way to save money while having the look of a different PV every day.
- I intended on selling attys made for different mods but I must say: Zen has perfected that aspect, I couldn't make one to be any better so there is no need. I recommend the Z attys very highly if that is what you are wanting. I will be making a universal one and thats it. I must show respect though because I will buy every Z atty zen puts out. They are PERFECT!

I hope that clears some concerns and questions. I check on here everyday and I will be on here most of today. I do not make PV's on the weekend, I am a dedicated family man and I live on a ranch in Texas.

In a nutshell: its a katana, zenesis, did, orion wrapped into one unit with some extra stuff added with additional features. I'm not looking for comparisons on reviews, I'm looking for a hybrid that pleases most people. I also warranty them for 3 months.

Also I see stuff in the classifieds being sold and saying their stuff has scratches. Well, I fixed that also. You scratch your tank or dent it up? Just buy a new one in a different color and it will be back to new!!!

Thanks for all the support!!!

That reminds me.. Is the iHybrid shipping with just the 18650 body? I'll have to get some batteries if that's the case, I only have 18350s right now.

Ships with both :)
