Yes... There are several scratches on the body and on the sleeve, I couldn't avoid having one in the picture... I'm not that OCD about that, but as I said, I think a different finish (or any finish, really!) would be welcome.

Ok. I have been out drinking with the wife and I'm typing this in the car on my phone, so bare with my spelling. They aren't scratches more like scuffs. Aluminum is that way when working with it and I make them by hand. I could buff each one but then there would only be like 10 a month available. Aluminum is super easy to buff, you can buff it so well it looks like a mirror. I made this unit to fit my likes. I know we are all different. I like the original look of aluminum verses buffed, that's just me. If anyone is unhappy I will refund your money when the unit is returned to me as long as it hasn't been used. Look it over and see if you like it. Maybe I will change the drip tip hole to the size of the zenesis if that's what y'all want? I fit it to my tips :) its an easy fix. Would only delay shipping by a day and I can send new caps to the first 12 units. Let me know.
now you got me worried

See my refund option above.

The SS of the top cap is also not really finished - coarse and dull - but I know people know how to polish / smooth out these things. I don't so I hope someone will point me in the right direction, lol.

It's finished. It's the type of stainless. I use 304T versus 316Lvm. Think like this. A tongue ring is 316. Imagine it made of SS from your skillet. It's that material. It's food grade but cheaper than 316lvm. I have more metal and parts than a zenesis so if I made it out of 316 it would cost you around $375. I tried to make it affordable due to the economy and include a mini and standard in one unit. The 316 is shinier than 304. Hope this helps.

Well... there is no deep scratch anywhere.. You can't even feel them to the touch, they are just visible, I don't know if that makes sense. The way it looks, and I'm really sorry to say, it seems like there should be some extra finishing procedure to make the surface more even looking. As I said, though, I'm not a fan of the color so I hope I will be able to have it all anodized to black or something

Black is very easy and cheap.

Yeah, I did not understand this part either. The first twelve people or units?

I find that if you lube up the bigger drip tips with 50/50 pg/vg, you can get them in.

Faceless, can you explain the extra units thing?

Thanks.

Ps, if he waits till tomorrow, a bunch of people will have them by then :)

The first 12 units. If you have a tracking number from me already. Expect another unit.

Wait, am I reading this correctly? I'm going to get a second one too????? You've got to be kidding me!? That's unbelievable!!! Holy crap. Thanks so much Faceless!!!! When does the second one ship out? (If this is really happening and I'm not dreaming this)

They will go out soon. I'll pm tracking

I'm very OCD about scratches and stuff, even have my Zenesis Standard protected with shrink tubing. H3ll I would even pay more if necessary to get one scratch free and in a finished state. :)

Lol. I understand. However an aluminum body is never not going to have a blemish unless you polish it all the time. That's why I am going to sell colors. It has a barrier that protects it and it's buffed before this process.

Ok. I don't want to check PM"s on my phone. And I'm about to be home and watch a movie (pass out) with my wife. I will answer pm's and questions in the morning. Smooches!!

Night! Let me know when your Dwolla is set up! Also if you have an idea of the prices of the colored part, it'll be great to pre load my account (rather buy from you).

Guess I'm in the minority, I like the rough finish. I think it makes it look more rugged.

Hope you had a fun night!

Does the Zenesis top cap fit a standard 510 drip tip? If not, please give us an option for the drip tip size (rather use my boring 510 drip tips).

Congrats to all the lucky people!

Edit: Somebody let us know how it vapes!

I also preloaded my dwolla so please let me know when I can send payment. I also wanna know the colored prices, so I can preload for them as well.
And I agree on the rough finish, since I would definitely scratch it up plenty myself now it wont be so noticeable. I can be hard on my stuff LOL

Agree completely! Well with the aluminium we can always buff out our scratches. Wonder if there's a way to make it look unfinished so I don't have to worry about finger prints.

Sigh, sometimes I look at the pile of broken mods I have.

Anybody try the Petar K method yet and had success? I'm a sucker for neatly made coils.

Editted for getting the guy's name wrong. Its Petar, not Peter.

OH
IT VAPES LIKE A CHAMP!!!!!

I found a Cherry Vapes that I thought it didn't fit but it fits well (just doesn't look good). I wrapped a hasty coil and it is awesome!

I'm actually using a Zen 325 wick and it sort of floods with the 50/50 Pluid, but vaping "below horizon" works really well.

No shorts even if it frankly touches the bottom and there is no insulator.

The switch is fantastic!

It takes literally a feather touch to activate, but it doesn't activate while standing unlocked. It doesn't activate if you push on a side like it could be pushed accidentally, only if you really push in the center, but not actually push, more like gently nudge! PERFECT!

And it hits so hard! Much harder than expected, I think it's the brass contacts...

Very well performing indeed!

Got his name wrong. Its supposed to be Petar K. It seems interesting way to do it and the coils are so neat.

OMG I am so jealous.

How many coils?

Jeebus, you got me excited.

Took a while for me to catch up but I'm even more excited about this device. Love the fact that it can take my kick and any of my batts.
Dwolla is ready:)

There really is no such thing as a protected battery, by the time the battery gets to the point of failure and the protection circuit would kick in, the batt is too far gone to stop the reaction that is occurring internally. The AW IMR are not protected but are the safest because they don't explode when shorting out or failing, the get dam hot and will melt due to the heat but do not out gas like others. BTW the AW batt is make by Panasonic I believe but they are not labeled as such. I only use AW IMR, not AW or AW protected but AW IMR. They are the best for every need in which I require a battery in my vaping. If you have a Zen headed your way and you would like to keep your life time warranty then I would suggest picking up some AW IMR batts and using anything else will leave you without that badazz warranty. Plus the batts are cheap and not using what is recommended or warned that you should use, just seems a bit ridiculous to me. Spend a bunch of money for a device and then cheap out on a $11 item. I see the similar with people in my motorcycle chapter, buy an $20K bike and although the manufacturer tells you to run 93 octane or your engine will ping and cause excessive wear and yet they still pump in the 87 octane chit, then ditch and moan when they start having engine issues after only 50K miles and others are on 200K miles with no engine issues.

Just for some that may have misread this AW IMRs absolutely do vent( that's why there are vent holes on the top, I have had one vent in my hand) cryptodogg I'm sure you knew that it just sounds like you said they don't vent at all in your explanation and I wouldn't want someone to get the wrong idea and think they would be safe in a completely sealed tube, which the ihybrid is not.
IMR batts are very safe in there chemistry and AW are top of the line which is why they are recommended., but like cryptodogg said no rechargeable batt is 100% safe if you want that you can go to primary's or start smoking again lol.
