I have been DIYing for about a year and exclusively using 100mg base for about 9 months. I personally do not use gloves or goggles but am very careful with my mixing. I devote however much time is needed to making juice and ONLY making juice until everything is done, cleaned, and put away.

Having said this, I will NEVER recommend someone DIY without proper safety equipment, I don't mind taking the risk myself but would never want someone else getting hurt using my method.
....
Well said and wish I had disclaimer on my statement as well. Wasn't saying it for everyone to think its OK just expressing I certain precautions and tools are used I myself can eliminate certain gear...sorry if I was misunderstood at all...

Your playing with fire my friend. 60mg/ml is a lethal dose if it gets into your blood stream. Hope you never get it in a fresh cut.

Ya but how much has to get into you blood steam 60mg/ml doesn't tell me much
How ever much it is twice that at 30mg/ml would have the same effect and 4X as much 15mg.

Thanks though I plan on keeping off of me and out of me as well. So far all has been well and I'm betting my life that about 50 other things I do daily are going to bring me more harm than mixing my base which I do 6-7 times a year.

Oh I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with your statement :) That disclaimer wasn't directed at you just didn't want a new DIYer to see my post and go "Ooo lalala mix here, spill there *croak*" ya know?

I agree 100% thats why I said I don't knock anyone else for taking what ever precautions make them feel comfortable with the task. Its just like anything else know you ability and do no go beyond it. If you not sure use the safety gear.

Heck you should see my wood shop if you want see lack of safety gear .... 30 years at that and I still have all my appendages :)

Stopped by Lowes and got an o ring for the gap, loaded it up with BB and it's vaping up a storm. Gotta get used to the airy draw, but I love this thing!

If using anything but a metal tip with no depth stop u can experiment by pushing tip all the way down to top of positive screw and backing off in little increments to get less airy draw...I have tight draw screw in and glass tip which I can get in to just before touching screw and tightened up draw to my licking without vapor lacking

On a side note how do you measure Ohms on the coil?? Do you wrap it around the oxidized wick the fire the PHV and check negative and positive leads?? I have read where some people are wrapping a 4/5 coil and it measures 1.9-2.0 Ohms but I don`t know how you measure it.
BTW the link ya`ll gave me for the Ebay Kanthal wire, that I ordered yesterday, was delivered TODAY. WOW The supplier was kingorchid.

Draw won't take long at all to get used to, then you'll never want to go back to anything else..

I really love it thus far. Only wish I had ordered some 18350 batts, this thing is like a light saber with the 18650's.

Any idea on when extra parts will be for sale Faceless? I'd really like to buy one of the new switches and maybe the tank sleeve thread cover, it's really pretty with its shirt off :p

First 50 did not have flame annealed tanks and there was some leakage due to condensation. You probably should replace the tank. Like I said, they will be on the site in the next day or two. Maybe, if you send Faceless a PM he'll hold one for you. There will be magnets on the site too, if you don't like the spring. I have two of the first 50. One has had the tank and spring replaced. One hasn't. Fortunately, I don't have any leakage, but will be replacing the tank anyway.

And if it's leaking inside the battery tube, just tighten up the post. That worked for me.

Its all about length of kanthal in the coil. So a 4/5 wrap means different ohms depending on the width of your wick. Larger wick diameter means each wraps covers more length. Then you also take into account the gauge of wire used, lower numbered gauges have less resistance per wrap and higher gauges have more.

Either way you still can check the ohms the same way with a multimeter, just don't assume a doing the same amount of wraps with the same gauge wire as someone else will give you the same ohm rating. If your wick is skinnier or fatter it will be different :)

My problems were with the gloves I was all thumbs and fumbling everything and well safty glasses drive me nuts so that's my experience and do not attempt DIY without proper knowledge or instruction and if ya do note that kids and pets especially cannot be anywhere near even small doses of nic.....please be responsible....sometimes safety gear doesn't make someone responsible its knowledge of the task at hand and the consequences.....

If anyone is wanting to purchase one of the new LE's Faceless has...and needs some extra cash for one...and has an extra iHybrid...and wants to sell it for a really good price let me know. :) I sent Faceless a PM asking if he would like me to work on the iHy website maybe in exchange for a PV, but I think he's been too swamped with all the LE's lately to think about it. (My day job is a software developer, and I specialize in eCommerce)

Until then I am just drooling :p. Sad that every extra penny we make is going towards student loans so we aren't forever Sallie Mae's slave people.

So true and then add into the mix some of us twist the wire and others don't, with twisting you need more wraps
