Fleabay works but Grainger has every mesh size in every mesh quality. A lot of people for instance will only use 316 SS, some are fine with using 304 SS.

Lots of folks use The Mesh Company as well. I understand that they give you extra mesh with every order.

I had not noticed that... but will keep an eye out for it.

On a side note....
Has anyone else noticed the top cap is just a hair crooked?
And I'm NOT knocking the PV or workmanship here!

I thought maybe it was the tank itself. I figure it can be a pain to get the exact, I don't know, never done it.
I have sanded down a glass tank for a different PV.

Anyway, I changed it to an extra Zen standard tank I happened to have, it didn't really look any straighter, but the cap doesn't fit as tight.
However, I'm not sure what could be causing this, but I'm getting juice inside my "i" tube.
I'm wondering if a very slight gap is causing any liquid or condensate to run out of the cap.

I have it off now, to see if I'm still getting juice outside the tank, and I'll let you know if so.

Now that you mention it, I have juice on the outside of the tank, under the sleeve also. I just wipe it off and go about my day...LOL. I assumed I was storing it wrong or something.

Katana does this but it doesn't have an o-ring on the top cap as it's threaded. I kind of always assumed that it was a bit of juice coming out of the air hole or seeping through the threads. With the tank shield installed it was kind of seeping down un-noticed.

In the iHybrid I don't know where it would come from other then the air-hole since it has an o-ring. Can't wait to get my hand son mine. Still can't believe Faceless shipped it at 3AM. Poor guy :(

My Kat does not do this - I have put an o-ring there, even though it is threaded. I have not noticed any leakage from the iHybrid at all.

That's really good to know actually. Then it's for sure seeping through the threads at times. I'll stuff an o-ring in there at some point, just hadn't gotten around to it as the wick and air hole are nicely lined up and it's an intermittent "issue" that's not much of an issue at all.

Hey all been a long weekend for me. Work was crazy  catching up on the thread here.

Wanna say happy belated birthday faceless and don't wear yourself out. In my experience when that happens work and the quality of it will suffer. You created a fine ATV here and I'm sure you wouldn't what its quality too decrease. Plus as always family definitely comes first.

Also Wanted to know if there was also any update on the colors? And it was a possibility of getting a green 1:D

The o-ring should go around the threads of the top of the atty (at the base of the threads), not in the cap.

My top cap is crooked too, I also thought it was because the quartz tank wasn't cut straight and have intended to install a Zen tank to verify but was waiting till my juice was drained. From what you are saying the Zen tank doesn't help straighten the to cap. I had read elf mention this and also read that Face resolved this on the v1, perhaps Face can tell us what is up.

I also have juice between the glass tank and the i tank protector. This doesn't surprise me because I see a gap on one side of the top cap and the glass tank where it isn't sitting evenly all the way around.

I have no juice inside my batt tube but there is an odor and this odor is exactly the same odor/taste that I get sometimes when vaping. I am guessing it's the type of SS that is used but that is only a guess.....again hopefully Face can fill in the blanks by dropping some knowledge.

Anybody else have a metallic smell under the atomizer that you sometimes smell or taste while vaping? 8-o:shock:8-o:blink:

just looked it up and figured i'd put here incase anyone needs, here's the size of the tank (thanks to zen's thread). i was gonna order some polycarbonate tubing incase i break a tank. buddy with zen did this for his and says it's great. unless you have juice that will leech.

3/4" ID and 7/8" 0D with 1/16" wall and 1 5/16 tall

and amazon has 6', not inches, FEEET. 6 feet of tubing for $22~

My top cap is crooked too

My V1 is straight...

I also have juice between the glass tank and the i tank protector.

Noticed sometimes, namely after I dropped it or flew around within the bag.

No... That sounds bad. Not even a hint, but I get metallic taste with hotspots and whatnot, but I'm sure you know the difference. Wick touching the cap?

Completely disassembled my iHybrid and cleaned with Dawn, and then 91% iso alcohol, no smell out of the batt tube or the switch but the top cap and the atty assembly give me an odor. I had an aluminum Ridgemont DT on when I first got the iHybrid and filled with Vanilla Cream from COV, tasted great for the first day then started getting a strange taste, pulled off the aluminum DT and put on a Trippy and it stayed the same. After the cleaning and letting dry I still smell the metallic odor, does anyone else get this? I put mine in storage in my PV caddy for the time being, if I can smell and taste, I worry a bit plus it's not pleasant.

Wick removed and everything has been thoroughly cleaned with dawn and 91% iso alcohol and after drying I smell alcohol and that same metallic smell underneath, I'm afraid if I start vaping again the heat would bring it back out in force. Yes I know hot spot metallic and I also know how bad a hot spot tortures my throat on inhale. :) I get great vapor and it isn't harsh and never has been but I do have that metallic taste. I don't know.....if I had been shorting in the atty, I can't see smelling that metallic smell under the atty, where the positive end of the batt makes contact.

Update: Its 5am and I am still up!! I'm anodizing colors tomorrow and will have them by friday. If you got an iHybrid, feel lucky. Being up all night assembling is killing me. I'm gonna slow down production to maybe 30 a month or so for a bit, maybe less. Sorry, but me and my family are suffering. If you are wanting one just PM me, I will sell off what I have left and be out for a bit. I'll keep yall posted :)

i agree with kman family always first.

every time i become to absorbed with business my wife reminds me why i own my own company ... to be at home more and enjoy the family.

my cap is straight as an arrow.
i do get leakage or juice buildup between the ishield and tank but the same thing happens on my zen , the only difference is that i can see it on the zen. it leaks a little. i wipe it off no big deal:)

the thing i like about the ihybrid is when it leaks a little its trapped in the bottom of the ishield NOT at the bottom of your pocket:) and only needs to be wiped up a bit when doing a tear down.

i am also doing a 3/4 wrap on a fat wick and rocking mad vapor and flavor!! i dont own a multi meter so its just trial and error for me.

thanks faceless for a kick ... mod!!!!!
