Since I only have one tank coming and no extras...and I will want to dis-assemble it for cleaning before vaping.

What's the trick to not breaking it? Just applying even pressure to the top on nicely lubed o-rings?

Taking off is the same as putting on, except in reverse. Taking off: remove top cap o-ring, turn and pull tank with controlled pull, no force, and it will slide right off. Once clean and dry, lube the o-rings and inside lips of tank and turn and push with controlled pressure. Easy as pie.....

So today the mailman dropped a package on my door from Greece. I opened it put it together and used one of the wicks that was shorting out in my ihybrid. It is working perfectly.

I dont know what to do. Try an isolater or start drilling to make the hole bigger.

Feels like my tech support days. Swap with a known-good then what?

Try the cig paper technique but use more paper so it extends into the tank top.

Another member suggested using cotton to insulate the wick.

Hope it works out for you! What mod did you get?

Unfortunately it's still probably the wick. If you got a rebuildable genesis from greece I know what you have and it also has a bare stainless hole so it would seem that the problem would be with the iHybrid. BUT I would say the odds of that being the case are very astronomical.

When you took your wick out of the hybrid and put it into the DID you aren't going to have exactly the same points of contact in regards to where the wick passes through into the juice tank. SS wick shorting spots are tiny. You won't even be able to see them on the actual wick but it sounds like you have one.

You could use an insulator as that will completely stop the wick from shorting when it passes through the tank or you could re-make your wick. You could also move the wick way out of the hole and wrap a coil to see if it's shorting. Although I know this won't be a functional setup you could see if it does the same thing when you wrap a different part of the wick.

Great advice,
I myself have both the ihybrid and the did.
The part of the wick that sticks out of the did is shorter.
So I'm pretty sure you're touching the body at different points.

Is it possible to get another cap that is straight for those of us with crooked ones?

And the small amount of juice inside the sleeve is not a deal breaker for me.
I still feel it will clear up with a straight cap.

Still lovin' my iHybrid!

I had not noticed that... but will keep an eye out for it.

On a side note....
Has anyone else noticed the top cap is just a hair crooked?
And I'm NOT knocking the PV or workmanship here!

I thought maybe it was the tank itself. I figure it can be a pain to get the exact, I don't know, never done it.
I have sanded down a glass tank for a different PV.

Anyway, I changed it to an extra Zen standard tank I happened to have, it didn't really look any straighter, but the cap doesn't fit as tight.
However, I'm not sure what could be causing this, but I'm getting juice inside my "i" tube.
I'm wondering if a very slight gap is causing any liquid or condensate to run out of the cap.

I have it off now, to see if I'm still getting juice outside the tank, and I'll let you know if so.

That condensation is driving me nuts!! I have fixed it, I think, I'm on day 2 with no condensation around tank sleeve, I'll keep yall posted, There is no leaking, its just condensation. Also, I test all the top caps, when you press it on it could be rising a bit, when you put it on, look where your air hole is and twist it from left to right so it locks in place, it should be straight.

Question for Faceless/anyone else about the nylon piece in the bottom cap. I filed mine down to fit my kick in without a gap. Is that something that Faceless made custom or can that part be ordered somewhere online?

They are custom made, you would have to get one from me, its going to really hard to get the old one out though, they are compressed in there for a snug fit.

My Kat does not do this - I have put an o-ring there, even though it is threaded. I have not noticed any leakage from the iHybrid at all.

See above :) I think I have figured it out :) Very very easy to make it stop, I'm making sure its working though, it has to do with the tank, not the unit itself.

Hey all been a long weekend for me. Work was crazy  catching up on the thread here.

Wanna say happy belated birthday faceless and don't wear yourself out. In my experience when that happens work and the quality of it will suffer. You created a fine ATV here and I'm sure you wouldn't what its quality too decrease. Plus as always family definitely comes first.

Also Wanted to know if there was also any update on the colors? And it was a possibility of getting a green 1:D

Completely disassembled my iHybrid and cleaned with Dawn, and then 91% iso alcohol, no smell out of the batt tube or the switch but the top cap and the atty assembly give me an odor. I had an aluminum Ridgemont DT on when I first got the iHybrid and filled with Vanilla Cream from COV, tasted great for the first day then started getting a strange taste, pulled off the aluminum DT and put on a Trippy and it stayed the same. After the cleaning and letting dry I still smell the metallic odor, does anyone else get this? I put mine in storage in my PV caddy for the time being, if I can smell and taste, I worry a bit plus it's not pleasant.

I try and clean them the best I can, its probably the machine oil you smell. I used dawn dish soap and washed them. I used denatured alcohol on mine but didnt want to do that with everyone elses for health purposes. Thats why you smell it in the bottom, its the SS also from the top part. The aluminum will not smell like that because I did clean the parts that don't come into contact with juice with denatured alcohol. I would put that top part in the dishwasher. Its all SS even the screws except one , the brass one.
