I started smoking 43 years ago. I had a love affair with smoking... It was the whole thing. The smoke, the nicotine, the manual habit. I loved smoking. I had a heart attack at age 43. Still couldn't quit. It was like I loved smoking more than life itself. I even quit once for three years. I started smoking at my son's wedding... at my son's wedding! Finally I had resigned myself to finishing my shortened life as a smoker. I decided to try ecigs about three and a half months ago. I stopped at a tobacco store and bought an 8081 kit for $40. Got ripped off and still gave it a try. I discovered ECF, and through ECF, found a local B&M. The very helpful proprietor set me up with an ego kit. From there I graduated to a Provari. I have spent probably $2000 in vape gear in the last three months, for me, my wife, two of my sons and my daughter-in-law. I am now worse than an Amway guy. I pray that vaping will outpace stinkies soon.

Ill throw in an answer just because I'd give an extra one to my Dad, so this is for him not for me.

I sort of ran across e-cigs about a year ago and discounted them right off the bat. A friend of mine back in Canada where they were pretty hard to find had some chinese setup and it "worked". Can't remember the brand but it was a white cig-a-alike and it was pretty pathetic.

Fast forward about 9 months and I basically made a decision to quit again. I had done patches, gum, herbs and the drugs. Nothing really worked although I did quit with the drugs for a while. However, they made me beyond irritable and my poor wife really suffered through my attempts. I started looking around for alternatives and decided I'd take a look at e-cigs again. Found this forum and a local brick and mortar and got myself some EGO-C's. Although the local store is wickedly over priced they set me up and showed me how to use everything. They let me sample from hundreds of e-liquids. Walked out of there vaping and never looked back. I had smoked for about 15 years. After 2 days I shucked the ego's and bought some ProVari's, followed by lots of other things.

Once a week had passed I set both of my parents up with double starter packs of EGO-C's and a lot of e-liquid. My Dad took one vape and was off cigarettes for good. He's been off for about 2.5 months now. He smoked for 44 years. My parents are divorced but my Mom was about the same story. She had smoked for 38 years. My commitment to both of my parents was basically: Try this, if you like it...I will keep you supplied with everything you need as long as you need it. I'd like to have both of them around as long as possible so the cost is irrelevant. As long as they stay off the cigs, I keep them in batteries, atomizers, liquids and supplies. Niether parent shows any sign of looking back.

I'm writing this for my Dad, not because I want another iHybrid. As a former engineer he would really appreciate one of these and on my next trip home in October I'd give it to him and get it up and running for him. It would be a huge upgrade from his EGO's.

I smoked for about 16 years. I started when I took a Long road trip with a friend to penn state college. I started smoking a couple then a pack then ended at a pack and a half a day. A co worker of mine showed me his ecig a year and a half ago after he first stopped smoking. He soon went back to smoking because he was not getting the effect he wanted from a analog. I gave him one of my lavatubes and now hes back on track. I stopped smoking as soon as I got my first bloog kit. They sent me some broken batts at first right before I went on vacation and I had to smoke the whole vacation. As soon as I got back home they sent new batts and I ordered an ego- t kit. I have been smokeless since. I turned my wife onto ecig after I started and we both vape now. Feels good to be able to get up in the morn ing and not have to cough up a lung and run up the stairs and not be out of breath.

I smoked for thirty-one years and I have vaped without having a cigarette .since June 24, 2011 .(14 months 10 days). I tried the 510 with atomizers for a couple of months but I couldn't stay off the cigarettes. I finally got my wife and me a ProVari and lava tank last June and have been analog free ever since. . .P.S. .my wife just got a iHybrid and I can't pry it out of her fingers! .I need my own! .

I don't know what's worse.

Smoking bath salts or eating the friend you're smoking them with. WOW.

I remember a bunch of parents here who were trying to ban legit bath salts because their kids were snorting real bath salts and not the drug.

Ugh, I don't remember being that crazy as a kid. I read stupid stories like kids sniffing poop to get high (I'm being serious) and I wonder about our future.
