Take care of yourself faceless!

Concussion is bad!

Ugh, passed out after work today. Local elections almost finished. Will be able to sleep finally.

If you drop the price on the tubes or split them, I'll be in. Been saving my money for the kick tube + a 2nd iHy.

Love the smaller mode but only been using a kick recently.

Hi everyone! OK, I give up. Only one person offered a suggestion about torches? Really? LOL Well, thanks EzKill! I do appreciate your taking the time! I never thought of a "Creme Brule" Torch. You can tell how "fancy" I am, eh? Hehehe

I guess I thought there was something at a hobby or hardware store...like Harbor Freight, or Lowe's. But, I wanted something that was small enough for just this type of chore. Sometimes, if I don't know for sure what I need, I either "overkill" or "underkill" LOL

This is the torch I use and it works extremely well but may not be the cheapest.

I mean yea if you don't want to go the Amazon route then any of the hardware stores have butane torches. Sorry I didn't know you wanted to buy one locally.

This is the one I got from Amazon: BonJour Creme Brulee Pro Culinary Torch with Fuel Gauge: Amazon.com: Kitchen & Dining

Any torch of that size will do.

This torch from harbor freight would also do the job, even the pen sized butane torches will work:

It's mostly about features. I like the one I bought from Amazon because you don't have to hold the trigger you can lock the flame on. I leave it standing on my counter and run the wick through it without touching it. The amount I torch holding the trigger might be a pain. Larger torches will get things done faster but any butane torch will have enough heat to get the job done.

Don't over think it! Any torch will do, the smaller ones will just take longer.

Is that a SS mesh inside a Vivi?

And hows the Vivi holding up to Pluid?

Ugh sorry off topic. Sorry back to lurking.

Yes, the normal wick was muting the flavor of my pluid way to much. There'll be none of that!

36 hours with pluid in the nova. Seems to be holding up okay. Well find out next Friday when i do a side by side comparison with a new tank.

Yea it's a strange situation in this industry. All of the good devices are hard to find or are extremely scarce. It's kind of an industry in it's infancy that's still mostly cottage style.

Luckily it's quickly changing for the better. Guys like Faceless, Imeo(Golden Greek) and Zen are finding ways to ramp up production and get more product into the hands of the people that want to buy it. I'm grateful to these guys because they are making strides that will eventually hopefully curb the professional re-seller industry. I've always been irritated that these guys try to keep their prices as low as possible and then some person that can click fast buys up the stock and doubles their money. I always prefer to put my money into the hands of the people that create the items then the people that click fast.

But yea, it's a hobby. You start with a simple device and then all of a sudden you end up with a rebuildable. You end up learning about coils and fine tuning it to your tastes. Then you spend all of your time chasing the perfect vape! It's fun and it keeps me off cigarettes.

The Golden Greek stuff made by Imeo used to be very hard to get but his effort has been to start advance orders and have people order as much of anything they want. I was reading in the Zen thread that he has more machines up and running now so his stock is increasing. He's finding vendors for all of his stuff and ramping up production. All of his stuff I got recently as it was simply just available and being on the notify list I got an email and went to a site and ordered it. Faceless, well he's started off on the right foot and has stock. He put some planning into it and want's to always have enough to sell to the people that want it. The industry is just changing for the better.

Much easier to get stuff now then it was even a couple months ago.

Well said Ezkill.

Morning all!

Just to throw this in.... I also use my gas stove.
A pair of needle nose pliers to hold the mesh.
It has worked well so far.

I can't pack it up and take it with me, but I can take a few pre-oxidized wicks if need be.

Ohhhhhhhhhh....I have an idea!

If you like the stoves you can get a coleman camping stove and take that with you :D

Portable wick making stove!
