LOL, you're probably familiar with my now famous Kryton hosts then. I've been making lasers for over 5 years and it's amazing the way technology has grown.. I started with a 5mw red, moved up to a 15mw green, then a whopping 150mw red.. I was hooked then. I now have so many lasers I can't even count them including a 40Watt IR. The blue 1.2 Watt you've got has been improved to over 2Watts now.

Yes I am familiar with the kryton host. Always wanted one but never got one. I just checked out your thread and seen them all line up and my jaw dropped. I haven't been on laserpointerforums in so long. Lol, my girlfriend hated it and just the other day she compared my ecig mods to my laser mods. Sigh, I might have to go over there and check things out and see what has happen in the past two years. I stopped around when the 445 diodes dropped dramatically in price.

Edit: 2 watt kryton:banana:

We did a LOT of work on that GGTS in order to get it perfect. The particular alloy of the aluminum on the GG is such that it didn't take laser engraving well so even though the beadblasted surface anodized nicely, the engraving has small areas where the laser didn't cut through it right. That unfortunately was out of my hands.

BTW what alloy do you use on the Ihy's? It's a pretty hard alloy!

I use 7075 but thinking of going to 6061 due to the corrosion resistance, probably dont have to worry about it but 6061 is cheaper which means a price cut, I'm looking into it, thinking of going to all SS but price would go up lol

Faceless, from my dealings in firearms, I think that's backwards. Some of the early Colt's AR's used 6061 for the lower receivers, and they had to switch back due to corrosion issues in hot damp climates.

Uh-oh, now the war has started! LOL. Absolutely. I haven't ordered the pink yet, but I will specifically if there's enough interest. Sadly the pink dye is the most expensive. That and black but everyone wants black.
