Also what size drill bit are you using?

It barely fits in the hole and the writing on it is a little obliterated but I believe it's a 1/8th.

This is also the hole on a ZAG I haven't changed it on my iHybrid yet as I have a really good coil going. I think the wick hole is identical though.

Guess I need to try the Petar again.

How many inches of mesh are you using?

I would still oxidize for improved wicking.

I use just under an inch of mesh in width and roll around a 16 gauge needle to make a straw.

Then I use a 1/3 rd piece of mesh and roll it tight then put it inside the straw I created. I think it wicks better personally.

ok next question can a screw be used instead? or are the threads too close?

I'm not sure because I'm not using the threads of the bit. I'm wrapping it around the smooth shaft to get the perfect coil circumference. Any smooth rod that fits in the hole would work better then a screw. A screwdriver that fits would be ideal. You want something that passes through the hole of the tank and sits on the bottom. Then you spread your coil out on the rod.

I do a lot of RC stuff, I'm gonna see if I have a piece of CF tube that fits in there.

Anything smooth and stiff that will stand up through the hole in the tank will work perfectly. Drill bits are just common so that's what I used. I do also have a hex driver that fits perfectly.

With a 4 wrap coil it spreads out just about perfectly once you attach it to the screws.

I'm also into radio control. Mostly surface, but I dabble into aircraft. Mostly I use cf in my chassis decks for its light weight and flexibility.

I do surface as well, though not as much since I started flying. Something about not being limited by the terrain just opened up a whole new world of the hobby for me.

Hey face if I order the magnets with my pluid edition will you just ship them all together? Oh and what does the pluid edition switch use, spring or magnets?

couple days ago I was reading some posts about people using isulators on the Ihybrid. Just out of curiosity how well did it work? The inner dia. of the ptfe on a BIC pen is so tiny. I cant imagine it wicked very well.

Sent from my Epic using Tapatalk

I tried the insulator (bic pen) it was so small that it started not wicking right, I removed it

Ok so today i decided to try the iHy in 18350 mode for the first time.. I gotta say, thing is perty small! Ill admit i do have rather big hands, but im liking it in the tiny mode..

Is there anyway I can pre-pay for a set? I'll be moving all day tomorrow and Saturday, and won't be around the PC.

I'm mainly into micro helis. Had an mcpx but found it a little too twitchy for my skill level. I just picked up a new set of gear for my Msrx which is a blast to fly. Eventually after more sim time I'll invest in a larger cp bird.

I did a brushless conversion, extended boom, SR 120 tail motor, etc on my MCP X, and it still wasn't what I wanted due to tail blow out. I have the 130x now, and when it flies (lots of QC issues) it's the greatest thing ever for a trainer. I also fly a T Rex 450 pro 3G, and I'm building a T Rex 600 nitro limited ediiton that will also by flybarless. I like the MSRX for inside, and seriously thinking about picking up the new nano CP X as at my new house I think I can flip it in the dining room. :D The MSR X and sim are great, stick with them! My first inverted hover is something I'll never forget.

Ezkill,

I'm going to have to try that PK method, after this coil needs to be replaced :)

It works, didn't even oxidize the wick :)

Vaping it right now lol.

Edit: Just trying to give the users in this thread easier ways of doing things. I had a hell of a time with my first genesis. But I firmly believe that a good genesis is the best vape and with the right information anyone can vape them. Many people are afraid to touch them because they are difficult.
