That! That right there is why my 14500 beta is winging its way to you. You doa service to the community. You ROCK! LadyStrick9!

Thanks grruss :) I have such respect for Faceless and this group of people. I'm not trying to be a A** Kisser...I just think Faceless is doing things that are "cutting edge" and has such a loyal group of folks supporting him.

I've done spreadsheets for a couple other forums, but I admit, this place feels like "home" to me.

Yeah, yeah, I'm getting sappy. 'nuff said.

OK...a new list is floating around below. Please add your suggestions (I will be editing the list and shortening it before it's in final draft form). Thanks :)

Supplies you might need for your new iHybrid

1. batteries- you MUST use IMR. I use AW's. You can use 18650's, 18350's, or 18490's with a kick. (rtdvapes, super t, lighthound)
2. A charger. There are many options. I use an Xtar WP-II 6 bay. Some don't like it because it uses spacers. The "gold standard" is, arguably, the Pila. (same as battery suppliers)
3. Resistance wire. Most use kanthal 32 a-1. Some prefer a lower gauge wire for lower resistance. Some twist/braid it. I find that a 5 wrap coil of kanthal 32 makes about the a 1.8 ohm coil. Less wraps, lower resistance. More wraps, higher resistance. (I used kingorchid on ebay)
4. Stainless steel mesh. Some like 325,some like 400. There are some who say 500 is the best for wicking. I'll order 500 if I ever order again, but use mostly 400 now. (ebay or themeshcompany)
5. A butane torch. Some use propane, and some have even had success at oxidizing wicks on their natural gas stove. I picked my torch up at Lowes for $25. Worth it, IMO. (many, many suppliers ie. Harbor Freight, Lowes, Amazon, ebay)
6. A syringe with an 18ga blunt tip needle. I have a bunch of them. Some swear by needle tip bottles. I love the idea, and would use them if I had them. I think syringes would work better for emptying tanks, if you ever want to do that. Make sure your needles are 1 1/2" long. (ebay, amazon)
7. a multi meter to test ohms and for any shorts. (Thanks Shado!)
8. Some time and patience  (Thank you Schneck!) LOL

Can anyone think of anything else?

NancyR: ok as far as batteries go please only use high drain IMR you can find them at Genuine AW Batteries at RTD vapor, as well as many other places. The standard iHy can use either 18650 or 18350, the button tops on some might leave a light gap tho I understand the spiders will have the new switch so that won't be an issue any longer.
KICK: You don't have to use a kick, some prefer it some don't, it is all personal taste. If you do use a kick you can use the 18490/18500 batteries and the kick in the 18650 tube.
MESH: As too the mesh there are a couple places to get it, depending on your budget GRAINGER APPROVED VENDOR Wire Cloth, SS, 400 x 400 Mesh, 12 x 12 In - Wire Cloth - 3DLR6|3DLR6 - Grainger Industrial Supply,
The Mesh Company (Warrington) Ltd #400 Super Fine Filtration Mesh - 25 Micron. Some of the guys have said what they get from Grainger while it costs a bit more is higher quality. If you do order from The Mesh Company keep in mind they are in the UK so takes longer to get. Also, I have heard the 500 is awesome, tho I am using the 400 currently and have tried the 325. I can't say I notice a difference in flavor tho the 400 does seem to wick better, and rolls easier for some reason.
Maybe extra o-rings and a spare tank

A 20 cc syringe works great also.
I seem to break every glass task I touch.

Thought I would dig out this post from a few days back, it fits in with spare tanks if you ever have a problem, I wish I had known this a couple weeks before.

:WARNING: :WARNING: Epic Catchup Post commensing in 3....2.....1....

DO IT!!! I've taken a few different ones, some more useful and fun than others, but I learned at least one thing in every single class. If you really want to have some ... fun, go do a track day! I rode Miller in Utah with California Superbike School and it was the best weekend of my life, and I managed to learn a ton besides ;)

Oh yeah most def. There are a few things I've been practicing solo that I want to get really comfortable with before I show up. Low speed maneuvering stuff. I have a super heavy bike, compared to what I was doing maneuvers on in the other course, and just want to be absolutely comfortable cause I don't want to EVER drop my bike lol.

its tricky, type illuminati backwards and put .com in it in your browser :)
Nope me neither kind of scary. Now I guess I’m on the watch list LOL.

Ugh.... Now I have to get a new Identity!! You b@$tard!! lol

Blaine's grinnin' like a jackazz eatin' briers.
Just for follow up to those who heard my post yesterday, my son was discharged from the hospital after a concussion today. He is doing great, considering the shape he was in yesterday. I want to thank everyone for their words of encouragement.
Oh and thanks for the ihy group invite faceless and Blaine, it will be my honor to represent. I have shown off the device to several friends, but I have to honor my wife and wait till christmas to vape it, even though she gave me the green light. Anyone who knows a good lady is hard to find would understand, even though I would execute a random stranger to use it.LOL:)

Glad to hear all is well. What a relief!! Welcome to the club (again) lol.

Just a quick tip about rattling batteries, in some of my high end flashlights the batteries rattle a bit and the tip I got was to wrap a single dollar bill around the battery then insert. No more rattle and you will always have a dollar in your pocket.
Can someone please explain the cult like admiration for Pluid fluids?? Is it tobacco flavored? I have never tried it but it seems like all people who have a Ihy use it, is it just the real cool look of the juice in the tank?? What does it taste like?? I am not knocking the fluid at all just trying to understand why everyone is using it and can`t get it. Thanks

Hey that's one way to hide money from the wife!

The Pluid... What can I say really? I'm relly super ...... at Murdock right now cause he absolutely ruined all my other juices!!! I'm never happy vaping anything else even though I've been buying juices from all over the place and flavor spectrum. I get more kisses from my wife cause although she doesn't vape pluid (cause I won't share), she loves them pluid kisses. It's even helped out my se3x life believe it or not. The flavor at first is mostly just Anise with a hint of Absinthe. What I love most about it though is depending on what I vape it in I get all the lil complex undertones! Sometimes I taste cinomin, sometimes citrus, sometimes I don't even know what the hell I'm tasting I just like it!! You will def know when it's burning though. Experimented with super high voltage and it wasn't to my liking. Specially after my wick caught fire!! lol

yes but only by a few days :) site has been updated to reflect it :)
I can not do custom 18650 kick tubes, I think I will only do 25 more and discontinue them

Well, I'm waiting (im)patiently for it to get here =)

Put me on the list of 25 for 1 of those tubes. I don't have a kick but I don't want to NOT have the option to use one with a 18650. I would also have loved one to match my Pluid V2.

Just started using pluid and have a couple ?s does it get a lot darker in tank after awhile or is that from short...? Doesn't taste like its burning ,,however with this stuff how the hell could ya tell.....

Oops. Answered the burning question just a lil ways above here lol. Got my posts mixed up... I've noticed that what's helped me a lot from the darkening thing is continuing to draw for a second after I release the button. I beleive it's the condensation from residual vapor that runs down and mixes with the juice in the tank. Not a problem though. I haven't really noticed a dif either way other than a darker looking fluid in the tank.

I'm also going to make a twitter account for mthe website, so it will alert when new items are in stock :)

I've been trying to avoid twitter like the plauge... Here we go yet another app that will make my phone make more noise than I want it to lol.

Hey all!
I am sooooo behind in this thread, I'm not even gonna attempt to catch up.
Did I miss anything good?

All sorts of stuff!!! It's ALL good =) Like some of the LE's and the car that Face is getting his wife for X-mas, The 14500 beta (may still ahve a chance), and all our crazy humor! Just to name a few =)

i dont know about anyone else but i seem to have problems getting my top oring off with out damaging them until bought a dentist pick from harbor freight, now i can slip it off with no problem :)

I've seen a video somewhereI think it was of Zen~ explaining how to take the o-ring off to get the tank off the ZAP? Basically just pinch it on opposite sides and push towards the end. Should stretch the o-ring a bit and give slack on the end you are pushing towards. Can search for it but hey, if you can do it with a pick and not cause damage than why fix what aint broke?

Woot caught up!! lol

If I'm not mistaken (and I often am :)), in Murdock's video where he took apart the iHybrid, he demonstrates "pinching" the o-ring to remove it. Does anyone else remember that? I can look later....just a thought.

I know I mentioned it in my tank cleaning video.

Nah, just kick it over and get it over with :D I can say that cause a lady backed into my brand new bike lass than 48 hours after I rode it home from the dealer... I was even parked in the grass away from the parking lot  But it got me over worrying about my new baby. Battle scars will happen no matter what you do so embrace it and move on ;)

Now if you're just talking about having to pick up a heavy bike...I feel ya. I worked at a HD dealership, try picking up an Ultra-classic

Ya your missing an ihybrid in you avatar. My friend...lol

I knew I was forgetting something.
The hubby has my "original", and good luck getting that back.
I should've put my 9/11 in there though.

Other than that... what'd I miss?
