The technique works, problem I have is I don't have a blank the same size as my I hybrid wick hole to use to make my coil with. But it works great for my zap. ( no errors on the provari is a small miracle)

i use the same coat hanger piece for my ZAG and the iHy....fits in both

I just had some success with a new coil. Came out to 2.1 ohms, and flavor has improved a lot! Maybe the wick need time to break in or maybe I did something wrong with the other six coils I made. I wish I knew if it was something I did wrong that way it could be avoided in the future. Anyway..The GEv2 is working really well today, and the Flavor is almost like I'm dripping.

To be honest I don't worry so much about the exact ohms but rather pay attention to how fast and red the coil glows after I put the wick in. You will learn to see what I mean....

I'm loving my 500 wick with my 2/3 twisted 32g @ 1.4 ohm. My wife asked me this morning how I could love my iHy more today then yesterday lol.
