Guess there's still a lot to learn. I was afraid I wasn't using enough material... Using a 3mm double wick (wick in wick). I like it filling the entire hole (that's what she said). I'll have to do some reading on rolling fatty wicks, or take out the center one maybe.

Try taking out the center wick maybe.

Just need to either make a hotter coil or less material in the wick (to slow down wicking).

Edit: Need to go secure more things outside. Hear things banging.

Won't be grabbing a dragon but good luck all! Stupid hurricane supplies.

Also try vaping at 5 oclock and see if that helps with the flooding, then when it seems to not wick well enough tip to 3 oclock :) that should help ya long enough to empty your tank :)

You're overwicking. Less less mesh material or make a hotter coil to compensate.

And make sure the top of you wick isn't pinched off. Take a paper clip and make sure its opened all the way up.
Good tip if you need one to wick more though.... just pinch the top together and it will wick more juice.

Isn't that backwards for over wicking? I thought if it was over wicking, you could pinch off the top. It's early, I'm confused. :D

Not in my experience .... pinched off top makes mine wick much faster.
I don't know the science of it and lord knows I've been wrong before but I've tried both ways.

Anyone else know for sure that can confirm/deny ??

havent checked past post, I'm just posting, so if I have any questions to read I will do it in a bit. Just letting everyone know not to get excited, I'm about to print the spider shipping labels but not shipping until friday, I'm doing this so they dont get buried by the dragon pre order tonight at 9pm central time. Also, I'm only doing the sale for the blue ones, I know some people are without power and internet so I will post the red ones in a few days so others without power have a chance :) So, Only the BLUE ones will be tonight :) Red in a few days, sorry if you were waiting on red tonight, but I just want to be somewhat fair, I cant make everyone happy :(

Sooo... Don't get too excited, but, yeah, they are coming.

As far as I have encountered either way can be right depending on how you use the wick

If your wick is rolled for wicking only (no prominent hole for capillary action) pinching it will wick faster, in personal experience I think it's simply due to the idea of surface tension being taken away when pinched so the juice may flow more freely

However if your wick is rolled with a prominent hole it would rely more on the capillary action to feed, so if you pinch it, the flow will become slightly interrupted and slow the wicking

All of this is based off of personal observation

I've had issues with boiling coils... What causes this, and how does one prevent/fix it?

Anyone who's experienced the pain of gout probably knows what it's like to crawl around as an adult... I know I have, worst pain EVER. I've actually contemplated shooting off my big toe to lessen the pain.

Cherries. The darker the better.
I don't recall how many, but they need to be eaten daily.
I'm certain there is plenty of info on the web about it.

My Dad hasn't had any flare ups in ages.
Seriously.... do a little reading and get yourself some cherries.

Morning all :) I hope everyone is safe and sound, and survived the wrath of that b..tch Sandy!

Good Morning Everyone!!! Hope everyone here on the east coast is safe! The storm never really touched here... we have just had slight rain and 20mph winds so far

About 19,000 homes are without power in Rochester from the storm last night, Sandy hasn't hit yet.. current projection is the center will be about 40 miles west of Rochester Wednesday morning. The north suburbs were evacuated by the great lake.
