Glad you're doing well ferret. Ha ha, yes this is true. But, to be honest, there are always things I want, but I'm very happy with the stuff I have right now. Well, other than the ZAU, that thing just hates me for some reason. I'm gonna make a thin wall wick as one last try to get it working right, but I don't have high hopes for it though. It looks really good sitting on a mod doing nothing though. :D

Ohhh good luck WNC!

No idea but the ZAP caused me awhile to set up. Kept having micro shorts.

Ugh, stuck listening to bad parody songs. Why do I find this so funny?

Thanks Fisty! Ohhhh if you find out about the next big meet let us know!

Side note: Oh god, can't stop looping Lo Pan style. James Hong is awesome.

Virginia is for vapers
OK - I thought I was a pro at this with as many iHys as I have and as long as I have been wrapping coils. I have a top coil that will NOT give up its hot spot on an iHy. Already popped it multiple times and re-wrapped with new kanthal multiple times. Anybody have a trick for that? I told my wife to grab another iHy out of the line up for now while I figure it out, but this one is her first and favorite.

its usually from the wire not touching the top, look at it real close, bend it to touch, or just twist your coils :) I suck at helping lol

Phr0st, a while back Linda was having an issue kinda like that, come to find out there was small bit of wire in the neg screw hole if I remember right, once she removed it problem solved

Adjusting how the wick passes through the tank will also help. Sometimes those top hotspot coil poppers are because it's shorting through the tank hole and then the current passes through the wick and exists the top in one big burst.

No amount of oxidation will prevent your wick from shorting if it's crushed too much against the edge of the tank hole.
