No it's opposite, less ohms is higher Amp drain and higher ohms is less Amp drain

example two coils 0,9 ohms and 2,2 ohm both at 4 volt.

P = U x I = U x (U/R) = U^2 / R

So for 0,9 ohm coil you get (4 x 4)/0,9 = 17,7 watts (higher drain)
and for 2,2 ohm coil you get (4 x 4)/2,2 = 7,3 watts (lower drain)



I read on this thread somebody saying something about less ohm coil drawing less battery juice? Is that right sounds right but i can never tell the difference. Also, when you push the button the battery fires and produces whatever voltage the battery is at in its charge cycle right? So rrally coil ohms should not matter because these are mechanical mofs and are batteries are mot smart. You are though faceless! Sucking up waiting for dragon

Yes, if you have a battery that's at 3.6 it will fire at 3.6. You need a kick to regulate output voltage/wattage.

I dont know what you mean when you say coil ohms should not matter?

OR, stated another way, battery drain (current) has an inverse relationship with resistance. The higher the resistance, the longer the battery will last, assuming all other variables are the same. One variable that tends to change is the time the switch is held closed. When I setup a higher resistance coil, I tend to take longer hits. So, for me, it's hard to make a fair comparison.

Wow that post hurt my brain. But understood. The coil is asking fir more power wether the battery likes it or not. Got it.

USPS finally found my iHybrid, I should be joining the ranks of the Hybreeds around 5 today :) Any special tips I should know of for a new iHybrid owner?

When vaping it for the first time you might want to be seated. Rumor has it people have passed out on their first try. :p

the lower the ohm the more the watts the more the battery drain .. example a 1.2 ohm coil will draw more power than a 1.5 ohm coil and the battery will die faster on the 1.2 ohm coil. yes the mod will produce what ever voltage the battery is at :) yes the ohms do make a difference when you think interms of watts.. to get the watts from your unit you would take volts x 2 divided by ohms...example 3.7 volt battery with a 1.5 ohm coil setup..so let say 3.7 volts x2= 13.69 volts divided by 1.5 ohms would give you 9.13 watts roughly and a 1.2 ohm coil would be pushing 12.5 watts roughly :) if i am wrong in any way someone please feel free to correct me :) i hope this helps with any confusion any one may have

edit: lol took me over 40 minutes to type this cuz I am at work and customers came in lol looks like it was posted above already :)
