I quit drinking after I got my first DWI. Nothing like a lil jail time to make you rethink your day to day life.
I still occasionally enjoy a good brew but only under certain circumstances. If there is any chance I may have to ride then there is no chance I will be drinking.

All sinks have a trap (u shaped piece) under the drain. All you have to do is open it up and there will be your ground screw (an X years of nastyness)..
BTW, I never heard from you, did you get teh wire and goodies I sent???
I had a serious alcohol addiction issue in my early 20's. I worked construction, lived in motels on the road. I kept a cooler next to my bed with a fifth of Crown on ice. Every morning when my feet hit the floor, first thing I went for was a shot of Crown and a Marlboro red. I'm happy to say that I still drink, but very responsibly. There's times, I may have a drink every night for a few days in a row, then I may not touch anything at all for weeks. The point is, I can regulate it now, I'm the one in control.
I couldn't take the hangovers anymore! I never thought i could quit drinking, but finally did.......so many STUPID things done while intoxicated...wish I could take it all back.
I got tired of having those mornings when you wake up and your big toe nail is missing, you have a burn on your leg, and a large bite mark on your shoulder, with no recolection as to how any of it happened (true story).
Yeah, back in the day I could chug a whole fifth of Jack -- but I too had a life-changing event, a bleeding ulcer.......maybe god liked us well enough to give us one more chance!!

All kidding aside, I have seen alcohol take down some strong people. It is hard to believe that anyone could become addicted to it, but I have seen it destroy lives. I think the first step is taking responsibility for the addiction, and seeking help. Some are able to take it or leave it, others not. That being said, I ordered some Pluid tonight, is this stuff gonna turn me into a raving maniac like the ones I've seen on Murdoc' thread?
Thankfully I was able to live through some of my family's experiences when it comes to drinking too much or too often... my father and grandfather were alcoholics. So when I drink, I drink to get drunk, but do so as responsibly as I can because I know what could come of it. I make dang sure I'm not driving and that I'm only in very close company. I have the utmost respect for all of you who have kicked the habit. My hats off to you all, I've seen how hard it can be.
