I never had one but I just wanted to ask. Was a mullet even comfortable to wear? I mean, it had to be comfortable right? There had to be some reason people thought mullets were cool :toast:

My boss when I was young wore a mullet. He always wore a hat though. He said he left his hair long in the back so that the sun wouldn't burn his neck (already red).

I have fine hair, a lot of it and due my heritage it is poker straight. Honestly it was really the only thing I could do with it. I was very comfortable with it. I love having a shaved head more though. Back of my head has actually been used in a few ads over the last few years.

both my brothers are younger than I... my baby brother lost all his hair when he was in his 20's... my other brother is 2 yrs younger than I, and has half the hair and started shaving his head a couple years ago... my gf said I looked too scary w/ a bald head and asked me to grow it out again... she remembers my long hair when we were an item, 30+ years ago... I am still shocked how much I still have lol. it's thinned a bit, but still have a lot of hair left ;) not bad for a 50 yr old...

I thought when krash said he had hair down the middle of his back that he meant the hair was growing out of his back. Has anyone else noticed when men go bald the hair relocates to other parts of their bodies. Some of them will look like they got a .... hanging out of their shirt and not a stitch on top, utter chrome dome.

I did go bald once. Once you get used to it it's not bad. I was amazed by the first exp I had being bald and jumping into the water lol. Couldn't explain it if I had to but it does not feel anything like it with hair. You get used to that quick though and then it just feels normal again.

I've been flirting with the idea of donating my hair. I looked in the mirror the other day after letting my hair dry down and thought that my hair would make a beautiful wig for a lil girl that didn't have any of her own. A girl that used to have straight hair would prob be more interested in it cause you know how that goes. The ones with straight hair curl it. The ones with curly straighten it.

yea I had a mullet for about a year then started growing it out... when it was down below my waist, it was also very blonde, and also perm'd..... the only photo's I have of that long hair still, is on a couple of PADI SCUBA certs, from back in '92....I also owned a maroon '86 TA back then :p

yea my son wanted to join when he was 18, his now wife and mother talked him out of it.... he'd been kicking himself ever since...he turns 25 in a couple months, was sent out to boot 2 days before independance day, right after that boston picture above... he entered in as an E4 thanks to his schooling, went to school for auto mechanics and now going through the army's diesel training... he just finished up in Richmond, Va, and shipping to Ft. hood Texas w/ his wifey, December 23rd...

Good lookin kids. I'm x Army dog. Tried to grow out some hair in the nineties after I got out, couldn't stand it. I like the long facial hair, but can only go so far working in the hospital. I have a 22 year old son in the navy. Damn proud of my seaman
