Maybe this would be an awesome cut out for the Reaper iHy?

Don't get me wrong - I think you have a valid point, and I will tweak the shape further when I do the final CAD file for production so that the top two side lines are longer, and it looks more diamond-ish. That's one of the reasons Fisty's proof of concepts are so valuable. We need feedback like this to give you all the best possible design. My original idea behind the diamond, was to put a little culture into it - the last thing I wanted to do was make it ANOTHER skull shape, as a skull without all the fancy designs is NOT a sugar skull, but just an ordinary skull :)
How about a cut out like this....

Ok guys thank you for your help finally got the switch to lock and unlock... now I need help on how to use magnets for the new switch on the standard gun metal IHy?? Do I need them at all???

Sent from my SCH-R910 using Tapatalk 2
You don`t actually NEED the magnets but the springs will eventually wear out and need replacement or a good stretching where the magnets will need nothing. JMHO

I never get packages like this EVER! And relisticly if I did and it had a real return address my pride would send it back :( So the person who sent it must have known that, smart buggers  It boggles my mind who sent it errrggggg........
LOL That is a great idea :) buy a gift card with a gift card bwahahahaha
In my head I keep saying "Do it! buy a Ihybrid you greedy bastidge" lol but really in my heart it says "Spend all of it on the kids :) " And that's what I'm doing spending it on the kiddo's :D and/or :/
I personally HATE X-mas but to see those bright lil' eyes glow when they open there gifts is one of the best feelings in the world. And that gift card will help tremendously :)

It was a great GREAT suggestion though LMAO!

Ah!
Didn't know about the kids....
you are right of course, the kids come first.

Still an awesome package.

My middle daughter's best friend.... her father was out of work a couple of years ago, and they didn't have money for Christmas for the kids.
Even though all 3 girls were teenagers at the time, I couldn't stand the thought of nothing for Christmas.
We went to the store and bought 3 generic gift cards.
I had the clerk at the post office write their names/amount on the cards and address the envelopes for me so no one would recognize the hand writing and mailed them off.

They each had a little something and the family's pride was intact. No one to send the cards back to. LOL

with the red and blue dragon, the illuminati and last batch of standards, it IS reversed threading for the locking ring....all others are the opposite, which is standard threading....

Why do people keep saying its opposite .... even Face said its reverse thread .....

Its not .... its standard right hand threading .... Counter clockwise screws it out from the switch thus locking it.
Clock wise screws it into the switch thus un-locking .....

For those of you that use the righty tighty analogy it still applies.
Right tightens the ring up to the switch body and the button can depress.
Left loosens the ring from the switch body and locks the button

Presto just like every other standard threaded device. I think thats a much less confusing way of putting it. Don't mean to sound cranky but I owned a fastener company and sold nuts and bolts etc .... for 25 years :) I know left hand (reverse) thread when i come across it.
It may be internally reverse thread (never took a switch apart) but in function of the ring to the end user its still righty tighty as they say :D

But sound like it won't matter moving forward with the new switch :)

Would be a crazy amount of work but if you just cut out the white parts that would look really amazing.

I don't think you would know what it was without the outlines it would again just look like triangles. I didn't like the diamond on top. I thought it looked like a bike seat :p you have to have points on a diamond. Nice criticism, of course!!

.....

Uh, not a good thing with those O-rings Shaitaan, eh? I don't recall where those came from? Do I need to take that off the spreadsheet so others don't order them have the same problem? Let me know, will you? Tks!

....

I recieved my gitd's from OB, and he had ordered a bunch from the same website I think, as in the spreadsheet.... they worked great for a while, but GITD itself, light going through the fused quartz is difficult as a lot of UV is filtered through it and they don't pick up the glowy properties very easily... If I remember, it took a week or 2 before they started leaking on me whereas I went and swapped them back out...

You are correct on the older ihys. But on the last few ihys that went out face did put reverse threading on the locking switch. So that's why people are saying that.

Thanks I did not know that, I assumed since I was told my spider had the "new switch" (not the new new switch) they were all the same.

I guess that would make the new switch the ..... new new new switch ....

Wow 3 switches in just 2 or 3 months. Does Faceless ever sleep ?????

For those that have the ihy standard the new gun metal ones have a clear anodized finish correct? Reason I ask is because I have a few scratches on my 18350 tube and was wondering what the best way to go about buffing them out without compromising the finish. Any advice?

Just my 2 cents

Face has already mentioned that his machine can't cut sharp edges, only rounded.
Which means your gonna have a hell of a time getting that cutout to look like a diamond. I was wondering what it was myself.

Personally after seeing the recent pics posted it seems like a spade is the way to go!

A spade would take this whole thing to another level, hell it would get my attention.

Looking for a pro tip guys. While I'm waiting on my new tank and orings to arrive I might as well work on the this horrid stench that is stuck in this iHybrid I picked up out of the classies. . What is a good way to really clean this MOD up so that I'll actually be able to taste my juice?

Toss the orings, get yourself some 91% alcohol from the drug store. Pour into a cup and put parts in let it sit for an hour. Take out rinse, then scrub with dish soap and warm water. Rinse with warm water. Pat dry and lay on towel and allow it to air dry.

I do this process whenever I get a new pv. It will even take pluid out which people swear you can't get out.

Way to detailed for the machine to handle...

Any shape has to have somewhat rounded corners, as the machine will not do too sharp of an angle.

On that note, we may try a spade shape to see what it looks like. I kinda like that idea better anyway - glad I thought of it! (pokes Vapor2112 and KrasH)

Identical process for me but I use 99% since that's what I have. Doesn't make a lot of difference.

You are right, the old juice is in the o-rings. An alcohol soak + Dawn dish soap and good rinse will get rid of any taste or funk.
