My first coil replacement will happen tonight, this is the first setup and has treated me good. But want to add a wrap and she is ready to retire.

two things. First, and Ive read this, but the larger magnet will not fit without my pushing it down (when it may stick) and also it seems with magnets in the upper portion, that the throw is now longer.

do you find that to be true?

Oh yes, it just occurred to me what you are experiencing. If you have too firm of a throw in the bottom it's going to offset the top spring and lead to a longer throw and/or battery rattle. The larger magnets I had directly from Faceless did fit my older switches not sure about the very newest one as I just have one in my illuminati and have no replaced the spring with magnets. I remember with the test switch I had that too firm of a spring caused the issue you are talking about.

You don`t actually NEED the magnets but the springs will eventually wear out and need replacement or a good stretching where the magnets will need nothing. JMHO

How would I place the magnets on the switch? Do I have to unscrew the contact screw to place the magnets? Im sorry for the questions just trying to learn the device before I use it...I'm use to vvvw devices..this mechanical stuff is all new to me.

Truthfully I've broken a few magnets in mechanical devices and have never had a spring wear out. I believe Faceless is using a piano wire spring which is going to take a very long time to lose tension. Under perfect circumstances magnets will last forever and the best springs will eventually wear out but I think it's going to be a very long time before we need to replace any springs. Possibly years.

I have been getting the same results, but it seems hot, like the coil is one big hot spot. Does it mellow out after breaking in?
I use 32ga kanthal 3/4 coil. maybe more wraps?

This thread gets soooo long- too long to search through every day!
So I answered my own question. Yes! After a slight break in period the heat died down and now vapes awesomely!
I now know why people talk about lowering their nic percentage, as I just realized I'm a bit light head from OD.
So, after 100 or so attempts without using the Peter K method I feel that Now I am actually vaping a Genesis The way it was meant to be! Whew! Now I have to catch my breath!

So do all batteries shake around inside the device, or just mine? I'm using AW IMR 18650's

Actually it really only happens noticeably when it's locked...
when you lock it if you dont do it too tight they will not knock around.
when you tighten the lock you are basically pulling down on the white derelin piece so there is a gap.

Oh wow, I got my coil glowing perfectly at 2ohms, just how I like it. Put a little juice on the coil and burned it, made sure everything was going good.. Picked out my favorite juice, loaded it up into my syringe and oh, what's this. The blunt tip doesn't fit. I'm not gonna be able to vape this for daaays. This suuuuucks

I made due with a Tractor Supply syringe until my 18g blunts showed up. I'd try that if you have one close to you.
