So today I noticed my juice turning darker. Multimeter said 1.3, which I thought was a way to test for shorts and other problems. Decided to just take off the coil and rewrap. Got it wrapped, everything is even. No bright shinning spots anywhere, and here's where things get good. POP! You know, sometimes when juice sputters. Nope, the f'ing tank popped. I am beyond ....... I'm going to Taco Bell, getting some Doritos locos tacos and going to sleep. 2 in one week(one my fault, one idk). I guess RBA's aren't my thing :(

Now my Envy looks like a freaking penis... Before anyone asks, I'm not posting this for someone to send me a tank to help out :/ I just suck with these, completely I guess. I've never heard of ANYONE having this problem when dry burning

ouch bro....it can only get better...

I am guessing you had a pretty bad short - this would account for the juice turning dark. The way the the tank broke also tells a story - it broke only at the top where the short was heating things up too much.

Never ran a twisted coil, any better than 28ga? Ive had 28 3/4 in my cobalt for over a month and no gunking up yet.

I like twisted 33or 32 a lot. I also use 28g from time to time myself. Twisted is cool cuz it has all kindsa little nooks and crannies in the wire created by the twists that can store juice in em. Plus it seems a bit easier to wrap and avoid hotspots.

maybe you should order some tube and get away from glass?

I killed countless coils and nearly pulled my hair out w/ gennies. Happens to the best of us. For the first week with my latest genny my fingers were actually burnt at the tips like a crackhead from playing w/ the stupid coils.

Wouldn't discount somebody selling you an extra tank - maybe somebody here has a spare to sell. (PS giggled for 10 minutes about the penis comment - do NOT suggest that as the next LE)

color kits used to run 75 for red and black and 100 for green but the new stuff will have red black and purple also to include a thread ring, so prices may change and colors, and i think Grruss had a blue one which was to die for, but that was before my time i guess. i would pay good money for a blue color kit
