Amienichole, I noticed several times that you have mentioned Nurses bringing treatments to you. I don't know what you are being treated for, but I will be praying for you. I appreciate your positive posts, and eternal optimism. From your glorious Avatar, to your multiple exclamations marks behind your sentences I can tell you are full of life, and a breath of fresh air. Love to see your posts.

I have a disease called TRAPS syndrome..Is basically causes rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, and Lupus symptoms. It's genetic...
Well my warranty ran out when I turned 25 and I came down with Rheumatic fever..I know in this day and age who knew!! Well I finally got over that with minimal heart damage...I also have diabetes and thyroid problems....well in 2009 I fell at work and severally broke my arm..I one day at the doctors office he gave me a cortisone shot...it started to get red and really hot..He told me ohhhhhhhhh that happens with these shots. Well I used to be a EMT and to me it looked and acted infected..so we went to my reg doctor. Sure enough the start of cellulitis.
This was in Nov. 2009... it wouldn't heal and one day I woke up with my arm completely red and hot..so to the ER we went. It not only was cellulitis..but had turned into staph. They gave me Gentamicin but allergic..was a first for my doc..so they tried Vancomycin. ..allergic again..so they had me on Linezolid, and then Tigecycline...finally got it under control..I know how lucky I was..and was on a 3 mo. Oral reg levaquin. Ok.....well I got really sick after this period and started showing the Mylar rash associated with lupus. Ran lots of test none came back positive. I then started having extreme joint problems and stomach problem all of this happened in 2010- 2011. When I have a flair I can sleep for 15-20 hours a day no problem..face has rash..extremely sensitive to sunlight..can't keep anything down..but gain weight..and my poor joints are swollen. I finally went to a dermatologist who is in the top 100 in the United States..to see if we could figure out what my rash was. He walked in and I told him what was going on and he asked me where my family was from. I said Tennessee lol...but he meant my extended family. We told him and he said I think I know what is going on..but I need to send you to a Geneticists. I went and saw him and after waiting a long time..lol...it came back positive for TNF receptor associated periodic syndrome...or TRAPS. They are thinking that my body activated it after the trauma of what happened to my arm..like my body woke it up. I was then started on daily injections of Kineret. I take them myself really painful but with enough ice can handle it..it has helped me have about 3 good weeks before a new flair starts up. Ok I thought ya needed to know all of this before telling you what is going on now
. I came down with shingles..they became infected and I have gotten cellulitis again. I was in the hospital for a day...and my doctor and I discussed it with my doctor and we were worried about staph.. SOoooo I promised to go to the hospital everyday for 2 weeks and continue my iv antibiotics if I got to come home...I thought I was lucky enough to get away with 2 weeks but it is actually gonna be 4...21/2 down. So now the nurse comes everyday here and gives them to me. I go back on wed to get blood work checked and see doc. After iv treatment I will again be in about 12 weeks of levaquin. So now you know my med history lol....I am 41 and so this has been a weird wild ride
