Escapereality: you can always try sliding the tank up, holding your finger over the filling hole or plugging it with something else, and filling from the bottom. it's risky as you might crack the tank and it's probably a bit messy, but it will work in a pinch.
I've thought about this...

Another thing is I've thought about just making sure both my iHybrids are full on juice and hoping it lasts me...but I'm not sure how to put them in my carry on without risking them leaking everywhere...

I traveled with syringes, never had any issue. Just make sure the tips are blunt.

It's a quick trip---only tuesday/wednesday/thursday and I'm not checking bags...and I doubt that they'd let me carry on filling syringes.

No one can think of any alternatives?

you might wanna try a craft store and see if they have needle tops for bottles, i think people use them for applying small amounts of dyes and whatnot, but don't quote me on that. worth a look though if you've got a craft store near you, that's the first place i would look for something like that, or something else that i'm not even thinking of that might work.

I'll bring this up again while the thread is a bit more active.

I'm flying for work tomorrow and need a substitution for filling syringes. I don't want to leave my iHybrids behind...but I don't think I can take my filling syringes in my carry on. I also do not have any of the needle top bottles.

Are there any readily available substitutes for filling syringes that I can either get before I leave or maybe pick them up when I arrive at my destination? Not sure why I didn't think of this...the last several times I had to fly I hadn't really been using my genesis atomizers full time. Now it's all I vape! I don't really want to go back to my Vivi Novas!

Any pharmacy will carry syringes if you need to pick one up.

I've not found this to be the case...do I have to ask for them? I've checked CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid before. The only local place that ever had syringes was Tractor Supply---and they don't have those where I'm traveling to this week (Chicago).

Virginia is for vapers
Howdy Folks,
Could help but overhearing this one...I live right across from the London Towne Center Elementeray School on Stone Road. Let me know if you'll want to meet up sometime. Always looking for fellow vapers to hang out with, also once a month we do a run up to Madd Catt's for a mini vape meet, could cannon ball run up there if you'll are interested. :)
let me know...
Oh, and I have lots of experience with RBA's and more then enough supplies to share if you'll wish :)
I am like right beside you - I am on Stonepath Cir.

you can fill the tank without a syringe,
the wick works both ways.
just add juice threw your driptip and after a few min it will wick into your tank.
just be sure not to add too much juice at a time or it will come out your air hole.

I can answer this one for you...
Keep all liquids in a clear plastic bag, you can easily get through it if you stick it in a carry on. Give the cost of an IHybrid or any mod I wouldn't do check in luggage.
Airports are a bit tricky to vape in, some are cool with it, some aren't. If you need to know then just ask security and they can tell you. I walked through security with my viva nova tank and an eGo Vision spinner in my carry on with about 5-15ml bottles in there as well. Nothing was said.
Obviously don't carry wire, wicks, mesh or syringes if you can help it...any one of those would be viewed as more then likely for drug usage and wouldn't pass ( Well the syringe would, the rest would just look bad).
I'd say follow the same rules as a smoker would, just pay attention to people around you and you should be just fine. :)
Hope this helps out.

Go to the pharmacist and ask him for a 18 gauge blunt tip syringe. I've gotten them from grocery stores and CVS.

Thanks for trying to help but I have flown quite a bit in the past with normal vape gear---but since I started vaping my iHybrids exclusively I don't really want to travel without them--so my question is really regarding filling tools I can either take in my carry on or purchase easily when I arrive at my destination. Obviously I'm not going to try and carry a syringe in my carry on and that's the only thing I'm worried about finding a replacement for or finding a way to purchase one somewhere when I land.

I'm okay taking my ego/viv nova combo out and about but when I get back to the hotel I really just want to blast away on my iHybrids...

I travel and carry on blunt tips all the time, no one has ever said anything to me.

Ok I did it!! I am selling one of my devices...I am so proud of myself!! My husband thinks I am crazy, but I love my Ihybrids so ProVeri must go:). I am keep one just in case I need it..but I know I don't need 2. I called my pharm. at target and she said she would order my blunt tip needles for me. So maybe Walgreens can order them for ya?
