Okay guys just did my first twisted coil (32 gauge) with a 5/4 wrap measures out to 1.3 ohms. Thanks to ATX for helping me with my multimeter. This thing is hitting like crazy.

After pondering a while I decided this will be my last post on your thread sadly reason being I don't see a Ihybrid in the near future and/or far future for that matter. It's just not in my cards and my family has to come first, ofcourse. Anyway boohoo for me LMAO! But I did want to say thank you to all the Hybreeds for letting me stalk this thread and be the dirty uncle no one wants around for a little while LOL You guys and gals are a great group and I hope it stays that way for a long time
And to Faceless: You make a great PV bro and keep on doing what your doing homie. It seems as time goes by your product just grows better and better and with that so do your customers.

on most multimeters, you're going to want to set your meter on pretty much whatever your lowest setting is. 200 is the standard on most multimeters for testing low-ohm applications like this. you're pretty much telling the multimeter what range of values to be looking for. 2000, 20k, etc would be for testing things like lightbulbs, engine parts, and so on. most coils should test at 1.x or 2.x area. so for instance, if you're doing a 3/4 twisted coil, you'll usually get a read out of around 1.3ish, unless you have a short going on. in short (no pun intended), if it's not reading at 1.x, 2.x or 3.x, either you have a short or your meter is set wrong. or the world really did end on 12/21/12 and we're living in some bizzare alternate universe. but i'd probably stick with the first explanation.

Thanks Skud! I did a 5/4 or 4/5 whatever you call it wrap and it's measuring out at 1.3 ohms does that sound about right? It's hitting really hard I'm very pleased with it. These things are so much easier to set up than my zap.
Yep twisted. Okay cool! I now see what all the hype is about with the twisted. All I can say is wow. I've never produced this much vapor in anything I've vaped
how are you twisting them? i've found i get the best results by looping a long piece over an allen wrench or something similar (the one that comes with your iHy is perfect), then clamping the two ends with a pair of vise grips. once the vise grips have the two ends secured, just let them hang to keep solid tension on the wire then spin the vise grips until one side or the other breaks off (usually the vice gripped side). just make sure you're not doing it over a glass table or the like. i usually just sit on the carpet and do it.

ok all just started my first mod stand (my wife got me a drill press for xmas) still have to add a couple more holes in the tank and drip tip area,

Thanks for the tip Skud! Yeah I was using the allen wrench twisting it (pain) and holding the other open ends with a pair of needle nose pliers. I was holding the whole thing horizontally. But what you mentioned with the vice grips probably works way better to keep the tension. I kept twisting until it broke off. Seemed very tight almost to the point where the wire was started to bunch up if that makes any sense... then it just snapped. Next I'm gonna try your way probably way easier. Thanks again!

yup yup nilbog! i use a decently heavy pair of vise grips fyi, 7" (7r spec to be exact)

how much does these weigh? if any one can post weights of they're filled 18350 and 18650 iHy's I'd really appreciate it!
