HR came from the yuma train 2day. Was not impressed with the packing. The 350 tube was loose and had come out of its pipe insulation, along with the top post screw just hanging out together in the padded envelope. The atty, sleeve, and 650 tube stayed in its pipe insulator just fine. Little tape on the ends would have been nice to keep the tubes in place at a minimum.
Not a fan of the switch though. I mean it fires OK up to this point, but the little raised pieces means I have to spin it a certain way to lay my pinky flat upon the switch. Plus I find them uncomfortable and a little on the edgy side. Not sharp, but bothersome. The other alternative is to pinky it with the tip of my finger. It does stand up nicely. No problems with AW IMR nipple batteries. So it is what it is to me, a bothersome bottom switch.
Being my first iHybrid, I am impressed with the workmanship, threading and finish are nice. I really like the machining on the tubes and atty cover, makes it very easy to hold it with no slippage. The only real issue is wick hole on mine has burrs and I need to take the time to clean them out on my next setup. Flames and engraving line up nicely, but not with the topcap or wick - meaning if I align the airhole with the wick, the latin writing doesn't line up with the flames & engraving. Is their a way to move the wick position in relation to the the rest of the PV without compromising the positive pole work Face has done? If not, it is only aesthetics.
It is a nice "APV", no doubt. So I understand what all the fuss is about. So will break in this setup and see how it goes from there and see if it grows on me.
Did your Hell Raiser come with an Ihybrid drip tip? From the 310 area code that is.
