Some do, for example the CE3 cartos. Filler-type cartos like Boges use a white filler material, called polyfill.

^^ CE3 ^^

See I know they use polyfil for the juice storage but what is the coil wrapped around? More polyfil??

In filler-types like Boge's I believe the actual coil is wrapped around a "condom" sperating it directly from the filler but that is beyond my knowledge. Here is a link to some inner shots of the Boge, scroll down :) 4 Cartomizers | 1 Post | 1 Crazy Person = My Carto “Breakdown” | The Vape Break Room

Time to get out the powersaw and rip one open ;) will let you know when I get home

That would be greatly appreciated. I found another thread that showed one opened up and it seemed to be that there wasn't any silica, but rather the coil was loose with a thicker polyfil material wrapped around it, and then the regular polyfil surrounding it. Anyway you don't have to rip into it if you don't want to, but I'd still appreciate the confirmation!

I'm curious what Phr0st was going to say too, lol! And in either case I'm wondering what that material is....hmmm... either way I think I'm going to order some dual coil cartos, an ego twist, some grey matter juice, and a kanger t3 so I can fiddle with it and see if the steel mesh in there is easy enough. Thanks guys, you've all been awesome in this. I'll keep everyone updated with his progress and see if ecigs stick with him. I'm sure they will, because I'm not giving him any choice :)

Anybody wanna play an iHy game?

You know you're pro when... :

1. Your coil dies at work and you don't even swear out loud, you just wrap another from your lunchbox.
2. You don't have to lick your top cap to find the air hole. But you do it anyway.

Perhaps I've confused Pro with clinically obsessed. Meh.

3. You break your tank at work then calmly walk out to your car and get your spare iHy.

You look at the airhole in your friends Katana and know right away you wont like the draw, then try it anyway just to prove yourself right.

Soon to be joining your ranks, as I managed to get a blue dragon. Vapemail here we come.

Grats dude!

I don't oxidize the whole wick but I juice burn the whole thing. It might be a placebo but I've found it really helps capillary wicking. Fat wick = solid wick, yes.

Sent from my phone.

Hey I just starting using my new AIR STONE WICK! don't pop coils anymore, the flavor is amazing.
Maybe you could oxidize your wick then anodize it, c if that works! Has anyone tried that?

Congratulations man! Welcome to the ranks and glad to have you here!

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I was always interested in the iHybrids, and from what I can see these APVs are heading in the right direction. New designs for the collector type, parts being upgraded or redesigned. There's always something new coming up, and things never stay stagnant.
