Help! Just got a Hell Raiser LE in the mail today and I am trying to wrap a coil and wick but am getting only red on the top then pop it goes tried rolling new wick and oxidizing then tried 30 instead of 32 gauge wire but no matter what it seems like I do it just get hot on top then pops and back I go. I have 6 different hybrids that I have used for a couple of months now so I am not to new to this. This is the first Ihybrid I have owned though so did not know if I may be doing something wrong. Any tips would help out great!!! Thanks

One of the things that helped me the most when first starting to wrap a coil was getting the wick as close to the positive post as possible without touching and putting a kink in the top coil. Also using a partially drained battery works wonders. And for reference the iHybrid was my first ever genesis atty so if a noob like me can do it, anyone can!

Sounds like your using a fully charged battery. Use a battery at half charge during the coil wrapping.

Wowzzers!! Just set up the HR with a 5/4 of twisted 32 and filled it with ill nilla, dammmn this stuff is ridiculously GOOD

I totally agree nothing. If you need coil help me I will do the best I can. Make sure you are just doing bursts at first. Put a small kink in the bottom and top coils. Remember just because the too coil is the red one brush some of the others. Also, close the distance between the wick and the positive post the closer the better. Hope that helps. Lastly 90% of your problem on a traditional wrap comes back to oxidizing.

Thanks for the help that worked out great first time! a little bit different the zenisis seem to be a little more giving on the coil then the I hybrid but like it so far.

congrats AG....

for those that have 'indexing' problems w/ their LE's....I used a autobody sanding sponge and emery cloth to line up my Hell Raiser tubes w/ the atty/tank which was off by approx. half an inch... it worked well, all the tubes are flush with the battery installed... (AW IMR 18650's and 18350's)
