yeah, but the Ti that mike used in the zens is a whole different level of Ti... thats the same Ti thats used on my seiko watch, its jewelry grade super high conductivity, and lighter and stronger than all other types, what mike did there its like building a pv out of silver... or gold... that type of Ti yes its very expensive, and going by how much he sold them for I see literally no way he made any money off of that run, actually he must of lost money lol bc honestly my seiko watch cost more and look at the amount of Ti it takes to build a Ti standard, much more than a Ti watch  .

Oh boy...

I assure you the price of your watch had little to do with the quantity of Ti used to make it. A gold rolex contains just over 2 ounces of gold that costs about 3,400 dollars, yet retails for over 25,000 depending on model.

You can't equate the cost of PV's to watches based on raw material weights and then make the assumption that something was made at a loss.

True, but we can take Mike's word for that. Pretty sure he barely broke even on them if he even did.

I think I also remember him saying that the particular Ti he used was also very hard to machine.

All I know for sure is that its about the most magnificent piece of metal I've ever held.

I still haven't figured out how he's going to pull of that price, but it'll be great if it sticks.

I'm pretty sure it will stick. The cost of titanium stock and the tooling of said stock isn't expensive as everyone seems to believe.

Yes it requires some special tools and some different process's but it's really not that much more expensive. Also as Faceless mentioned earlier he's found it easier to do some of the tooling on Ti as opposed to aluminum because it doesn't deform as easily.

I've read a lot on the forum a lout some people using their IHy in 18650 mode only or 18350 mode only, but haven't seen any hardcore hybreds that seem to be using a kick. I probably am very wrong, and maybe they just aren't as vocal. I guess my question is why do the people that don't use the kick prefer not to?
Thanks in advance....

Hope that didn't come across as a jab, I meant it honestly.
A titanium hybrid at that price would be groundbreaking.
My only hope is that whatever stock he uses is hard enough to resist scratching easily..
I've had some Ti that shows signs of wear very quickly. I'd gladly pay extra for that for a quality metal.

The thing about the Kick is the 10 watt limit. Most "hardcore hybreeds" twist coils at below 1.5 ohms, which would give you ~13.6 watts with a fully charged battery. 10 watts just isn't satisfying for me. I did it early on, but have left the Kick pretty much behind. I have three in my vape station. Wanna buy 'em?

Personally, I don't see a need for it, and I really enjoy the organic change that happens to flavor etc as the battery goes through its cycle.
I honestly even sold my ProVari just because I personally don't find the need for VV/VW any more. Once you find the wick / coil set up you prefer, I'd rather not add more tinkering to the mix.

Naw it didn't come across as a jab at all. I just know he did some research on the pricing and posted it in the thread a few times. I don't believe it was off the cuff, but an already calculated price.

If it's not 189 I'm certain it will be damn close.
