So the The Joker is out, great mod, where there have been done a lot around safty, which i personally think is very good, and will set standards
for future mods.

But i'm wondering about one thing about the safety on the Joker and hope there are some one in here with some knowledge regarding the battery protection who can give me some answers.

It's known that the Joker will make a cut-off, when it runs below 4,5V, så
in that state each battery schould measure 2,25V i theory at least, and that should be a safe discharge state of the battery, so that its not damaged and would not get unstable when recharged.

but if lets say one of the batteries is beginning to go bad, then in theory
the mesurement when cut-off limit is reached could be 2,8V one the good battery and 1,7V on the bad battery giving the total amount off 4,5V.

Isn't there a chance that this could happen, and therefore one off the batteries could go bad and become unstable, and in the worse case blow up?

This could offcours be prevented if the cut-off measured each battery seperately, but that just a theory.

Hi haddock,
Let me help you on this..
If you have a battery that you put into the Joker and its bad, as in discharging too fast, the joker will shut down. This is one safety feature about the joker. Its like a mind of its own and analizes the batteries as the discharge goes.. So in respect of your question, the joker won't work if you have a bad battery as it sense's this and could cause a problem. The joker is a very safe unit and all this has been thought out.. This is why the delays have been happening.
It will detect the bad battery and go off that.
If you have one, enjoy it and be happy that you have a safe device..

Hope this was of some help for you..

Thx guys for your answers.

I pretty much figured that, every little safety issues around HV vaping is accounted fore
in the construction off the Joker, and dosn't seem like the theory i put up, will be a problem that the Joker can't handle.

Unfortunately i do not own one my self, yet, i usually waits until the second version off
any produkttype releases, they will usually have eventually issues corrected or som other good features added.
Sometimes but selden a second release is worse than the first

But its defenetly a MOD that i'm gonna follow and if i hat known this one was coming i'm
not sure that i would have ordered my Indulgense MOD.

Since i've ordered that MOD i've been reading a lot of things around battries blowing up
even with the protected types, and that kind of worries me a little, but i'm not sure how big the problem is, i my self never uses non-protected batteries.
