Other then the obvious stuff (Danger to my kids etc)
Heights make me nervous but you really want to see my eyes go wide take me to a Dentist. I'll go. But the last time the dentist took a drill to my mouth the poor assistant had to mop tears from my eyes. It's a totally irrational fear so I deal with it- but yeah.

Are you ready for the laugh your ... off of the day?

Overflowing toilets.

When I was 8 my cousin (who was not supposed to have people over when she was babysitting me) - had a "party" - a few teenage boys dropped an M-80 in the toilet - blowing out the bottom - flooding the bathroom in the apartment downstairs - and no one would fess up to it. Someone called the police- who called my mother - in the meantime when I get nervous I have to go.....being 8 and not understanding the mechanics of how a toilet works- I see the bottom blown out and use the toilet -and flush.....well......lots, and lots of water.......to this day- rising water in the toilet and I'm running.

When my son was little he used too much tp in the powder room - so I put up a sign on it so that no one would use it til DH was able to fix it. He thought it looked fine and while standing in the doorway - reached over my shoulder to push the handle....the water starting rising and he had my footprints all up his front as I had knocked his 6'3" body flat and ran over him.

It's ridiculous isn't it? And even in knowing where this "fear" or "phobia" is from....I still suffer from it.

It's somewhat better - with a "known" toilet I can now stay in the room during the flushing process - you have no idea how quickly I'd exit the bathroom after cleaning the toilet - my getaway was swift!

In our old house DH rigged the tank that it didn't hold enough water to actually overflow - that's how I got past the flush and run....in this house it hasn't been done - the main bathroom doesn't seem to have a problem - the master bath toilet I don't trust - DH clogged it a few times and in this really old house (plaster walls, etc) - if you are in that bathroom no one and I mean no one can hear you yell for help! DH was mad once because he said I used too much force - I had yanked off the tank top and pulled up the ball arm (too hard he said) I told him there's a sure-fire way to avoid that in the future - pay attention and don't leave me with a clogged toilet. - I told you I've gotten better - but it's out of necessity.

A few months ago at work (yes, my boss knows about my phobia) I came flying out of that bathroom - I don't know who used it last (I think he had) - there are only 3 of us - but he ran in and took care of it - I would say that I'm "paralyzed with fear" but I move pretty darn quick when that water starts rising!:p

That's a strange phobia to have..but I understand it! My Aunt was terrified of bird feathers..on or off the bird! She was divebombed by birds as a kid. They really went after her long hair..I am guessing for nests but she was hitting and batting at them while she ran across a field. She had feathers in her hair when she got home.
I am also scared of Lightning..but only because it startles me. If I am sitting on the porch watching it..I am ok.

I meant to add..put a brick in the toilet to cut down on the amt. of water in the tank.

Now, you just KNOW that Brian and I are evil. Pure and simple. We have a friend that 'doesn't like' seagulls. Calls them flying rats, etc. Well, we're in FLORIDA, (those caps were for you MK!! :)), and we were on that huge pier in Ft Myers..in FEBRUARY and our friend and Brian decide to get some ICE CREAM...no thanks, I don't want any ice cream boys, I'm shivering..yes...that WAS me...nope, not a tidal wave...your jacket? Why thank you!! BOTH of your jackets? Weelll, okay...now Brian, I'm sure his jacket is every bit as nice as yours...no, it's NOT a 'piece of cheap garbage he uses to attract hookers'...thank you..." (It's ALWAYS like that with THOSE two..)

Anyhoo, we're all sitting there, Brian starts hissing like a teapot out of control. Being British, I felt it was my call of duty, so I attended.

"what? What do you mean 'what what'? YOU'RE the ... that was HISSING at me!! Oh. What about him? He's afraid of SEAGULLS? Oh, come ON!! Alright, I'll watch him...hey yeah...he DOES keep glancing up there, doesn't he? Hmph! You wanna do WHAT now? Oh, BRIAN!! You CAN'T do that, it's MEAN!!! No!! Wait a minute...you'll let ME do it? You're ON!!!"

And, with that, we pitched the mostly full tub of ice cream under the bench he was sitting on. He was simutaniously dive bombed by around 50 of them...I'd repeat what was said, but I'd be banned from ECF and, well, I didn't catch a lot of it because I was running for my life because I heard him yell, "BRIA....KATHARIIIIINE.." JUST before he jumped to his feet and started running after me...

I have a weird one....

I'm scared to death of balloons.. oh and fireworks. I'm also afriad of the dark. I don't like that "Buried alive" feeling AT ALL... and the balloons and fireworks are because of the noise. I've always been slightly autistic, and any noise to me is way louder than it should be.

Even being an adult now at a kids birthday party, if there's balloons, I freak. It's horrible.

Ok I have two weired things, I'm getting better at this one (must be the car I am driving now) but driving around corners, I know strange, feel like I am going to go off the road or something...LOL

The other one is people (or almost anything) touching my neck, can not even wear a turtle neck...LOL

Ok maybe these are not fears, just idiosyncrasies.. I just explain them away as diferent methods of death in past lifes...lol

I'm afraid of fire. When I was living at my old house I smelled smoke in my bedroom and looked out the window and the bush outside my bedroom was on fire. My daughter and I filled pots with water and put it out but now I'm scared. I can smell smoke when nobody else can, lol. When anyone cooks I panic as my mom has a gas stove so I bug the hell out of them "You're not starting a fire are you?" "Are you watching the stove?" The fear makes no sense... I'm fine as long as I can SEE that everything is under control.. like I can cook on the stove with the flames but it bugs me if someone else cooks on it when I'm in another room.

I once smelled an ashtray that was smoldering outside the house with the doors and windows all closed. It's a super power now, lol

I'd sort of heard of them, from a few sources. Sounded too good to be true.
Cut to my grandmothers funeral and me talking to my dad. He has one (hasn't switched so much as used it to smoke less). He lets me try it and I know this is what I want. Near the end of December I start researching (found this forum pretty quick!) and ALMOST buy a blu. After some recommendations I end up buying both a 510 AND an 808. Still love 'em both.

What scares you? I mean besides the big stuff..

I am scared of waterbugs..they terrify me! If you aren't from the south..think of roaches on steroids.
My other thing is needles! That's really dumb concidering I have yo give myself insulin every day. But then I am controlling the needle.

For years I was terrified of cows!! lol!! When I was really small--around 4 years old, and I still remember this clearly--I went chasing after my sisters and cousins who were going fishing at the pond on my Aunt's farm. I came across this HUGE cow and it mooed at me!! (Well, it looked huge from where I was standing!) I remember screaming my head off! Of course my parents, and all the Aunts and Uncles came running. I was standing in the middle of the field, frozen like a statue, crying my eyes out! For years after that I wouldn't go near a cow!!

what was your first e-cig? What was your first inking of an E-Cig!

Joye 510. But now I have an eGo, and I love it! I actually saw a news blog on Yahoo about e-cigs, then I Googled it. (I'd never even heard of such a thing until then.) It brought me straight here, and I haven't looked back since.
