Hello everyone,

I am new to the e cig craze. I started out with Blu; however, the batteries did not last very long. I have gone through 4 charge packs :(. The flavor was great though my favorite was cherry crush. Blu became a really big hastle as well as being a little expensive. The reliability of the cartomizers are random.

I went to a vapor store here in town Vaporworld NWA, they helped me find a solution. They have a ton of flavores to choose from. I purchased a Kanger Mini Protank and all I have to say is $@&"$ WOW!!!!!!!!! The battery life on this thing is a beast. I bought it on Friday and I have not had to charge the battery yet. It runs like a champ with a consistent vape. The apple flavor tastes soooooo good.

Refilling the liquid is a piece of cake so far. I got over the wierd look of the unit fairly quickly, yeah it reminds me of a device you could smoke drugs with. I am very happy with it and thought I would share my thoughts. Wish that I would have bought this at the start of my vamping journey.

Lastly, I smoked camel lights cigs for about 11-13 years, well I wasn't keeping an exact count. Have not touched cigs in about a month. I had 4 at a party just to see if maybe I was missing something and it was disgusting, I told everyone that I could not believe that I smelled bad this whole time. This forum seems to be a wealth of information and I hope to learn a lot. Sorry if there are any punctuation or grammar mistakes.

congrats and welcme to the vape journey, and ecf forum! yaaay! wait till you hit the VV mods phase. You think the eGo batteries last a long time? Pretty soon you'll be using up an eGo 1000mah battery in under a day and before you know it you'll be sucking down an 18650 battery before lunch break at work! woooopie! enjoy the vaping journey!! :)

Welcome bobitize to ECF,
Yes, the battery life on the cig a likes is lacking. Glad you have a local Brick and Mortar close by. Sounds like they set you up with the right hardware, and there it was.....the WOW. YEP, you will get the "what are you...a Jedi Knight look" a lot. Many of us wish we had found this forum at the start of our vape journey....
There is a lot of info here, and members to point us in the direction we need to go.

If you had asked here on what you need, nobody would have suggested you a Blu, even tho it's a start in the vaping world, ppl change to another device quite fast as they want something with better battery :)

Amazing how nasty those analogs are now isn't, I did the same thing as you and tried some at party in the few months I started vaping, couldn't finish them, now it's been 3 years without even one puff, don't even want to try it anymore !

Welcome to ECF. Glad to hear you found a device and delivery system that works for you. One word of advice from a fellow relative newbie. If you don't have backups, get them. An extra battery, extra Protank and extra heads. You will need them. And drink lots of water. Vaping is dehydrating. Enjoy!

Congrats! I'm very new here and I'm just learning and figuring all of this out. But it has dropped my cigarette use to nothing within a week.. astounding! At least in my book. It's nice not to be climbing walls and biting peoples heads off because I was trying to quit. This has been a fairly easy transition for me.

I am thinking of a protank mini 2. I'm taking that you guys really like them?

Welcome to the fold! My story was similar to yours. I vaped SS Choice no.7's and Fin for a while but the cigalike batts just sucked after a while. The vapor was never consistent enough. The forum helped me a lot, and for the first time in 8 years of smoking a pack of reds a day, I've gone a week without so much as craving a smoke.
Hope your vaping journey is a pleasant one!

Oh, btw, if you're curious about other vendors, I strongly suggest ECBlends. I haven't tried too many vendors but that site has a ton of information on e cigs, juice, hardware, etc. Personally I think their juice is fantastic.

Congratulations on quitting and welcome to ECF, bobitize. Let me second the recommendation for backup battery (one to vape on while the other is charging), Mini ProTank, heads, and charger. If these are USB powered chargers, I recommend you get a USB cigarette lighter adapter for your car, if it doesn't have a USB port, so you can charge your batteries in the event of a power outage. Keep up the vaping!

Lol, I'm sure it is going to take a Jedi mind trick or two to escape the wierd looks. I am happy that the local store is only 11 minutes walking distance from my workplace thank goodness I feel really lucky for that.
