Welcome to the fold! My story was similar to yours. I vaped SS Choice no.7's and Fin for a while but the cigalike batts just sucked after a while. The vapor was never consistent enough. The forum helped me a lot, and for the first time in 8 years of smoking a pack of reds a day, I've gone a week without so much as craving a smoke.

Oh, btw, if you're curious about other vendors, I strongly suggest ECBlends. I haven't tried too many vendors but that site has a ton of information on e cigs, juice, hardware, etc. Personally I think their juice is fantastic.

It is going great I am loving it so far, it runs consitently from beginning to end.
My setup

Kanger Mini Protank Clear Atomizer Series (ego is marked on the box, so I am assuming that it's ego)
I think it is a bottom coil type
I'm not sure about the ohms - would have to look at the packaging, which is at home right now.

Battery: Black, 900 mAh Non VV, it twists into the tank & charger - not sure which ones do, or do not (as in which batteries work with the tank)
I am certain that the battery they gave me is a generic one, since it didn't come with a logo on it.
My favorite juice is the 70PG/30VG blend Apple with 18mg of nictotine, the only juice I have right now. - the store mixes their own juice
Not sure about getting a mod in the future, I am still in the wow phase.
