Excuse the photos, took these off one of my Instagram accounts because I'm lazy. This is how I build mine, and I have had great success with very very low resistance, I am partial to rayon wick so this may or may not work with your wick material.

For the standard, this is my Go-to All day setup, 3mm coil ID . Tilt the coils toward the center and do a single bridge wick over the positive post, cut the tails off about 1/2" and tuck them down in the well. Works fantastic, drip right through the tip without worry of it getting in the holes. Mega flavor and 9/10 vapor.

For the comp, this is my real deal competition setup. I won't bother mentioning the resistance because that's not strictly necessary(too low for ECF standards...-_-), but it's a 3mm coil ID with rayon wick again. Tilted up quads, with four individual wicks all cut 1/2" above the coil and fluffed out to make a central bridge for juice, same concept as above. Clouds are comical off this thing, truly a 10/10 competition atty.

I built it yesterday with 24G 2.5mm ID came out to 0.18ohms. I've never built a quad coil before. Positioning all the coils with the screws unfastened, and snipping off the legs was a bit of PITA.
I've been scratching my noggin thinking about how to wick it. Thanks to Froth in the post above I now have a plan. I will post again once I have tried it out.

Here it is wicked and juiced. I built it at 0.18 intentionally so I could do a comparison with the dual parallel build in my Mutation X V3.
It's runs cooler, and produces more/thicker vapor. I think I may have over wicked it a little bit. With some adjustment to the wicking and a hotter build, this thing could be a cloud chucking monster. I really like the ease of having no AFC, aesthetically very pleasing too.
My concern would be taking a single 18650 mech much lower, even with a VTC4, and I don't have any box mods that are capable of more than 60 watts currently.
The only minor con I can find so far is that because the air intakes are on the bottom, I get some condensation build up directly on top of my mod. Of course, if you were to flood it (unlikely), this would also be where the juice would end up which wouldn't be a good thing.

Apart from that I really like this device. I can even imagine using it as a ADV, and not just for fogging out a room.

Sonic that's almost exactly how I build mine, the clouds off of it are truly comical but you don't lose nearly as much flavor as you would think with such a large airflow. Honestly I build mine a bit lower than that and have had tremendous results.

On your standard Kennedy, your 2 airholes look offset from the center post and it's messing with my eyes and head. I thought they were supposed to be centered on the deck?

The first generation original Kennedy has left justified holes in the deck, then a few months later the centered deck, which some now call the gremlin deck was introduced. I've got two of the left justified decks, so that's why you're seeing it differently. For the centered version I build and wick it differently, with more of a traditional style.

Wow, I never knew that before. I was always under the assumption the Kennedy had centered airholes. Good fun fact for the day

been thinking about getting one of these, but the airholes on the bottom scare me. I also don't have any mods over 60w so i might not get the most out of it.
maybe i'll wait until i get a big boy mod.

Depends on how you like to vape. I use my kennedy centered on a mechanical everyday. I Like the draw and the fact that it doesn't leak, not to mention it looks really great on the paps x.

For anyone with the gremlin cap, is the delrin drip tip removable? I'm Thinking about getting one, but don't like the drip tip.

Yes it is, the drip tip also has no O-ring so it's a straight shot right through it, the O-ring is in the cap and I can confirm right now that regular 510 drip tips do still fit in there.
