The Kick / Kick 2 by evolv question

When using a Kick or a Kick 2 By evolv do i have to use IMR's or can I use unprotected batteries? because all I have is unprotected batteries and I'm planing on getting one of the two kicks.

IMR is unprotected

The Kick uses a boost circuit. It draws higher amps from the battery to produce higher volts than are supplied by the battery to attain the wattage setting accorcing to measured resistance. It is neccessary to use an IMR battery. If it's just an unprotected battery without the ability to safely provide higher amps, there is risk of run-away and fire or explosion. Use what's suggested...IMR.

Definitely, you'll want the Panasonic NCR18650PD or the Panasonic CGR18650CH.

No, if it has been tried, it's probably toast, if it hasn't, head to the local electronics shop for dielectric shrink tube.

Thanks and sorry for the late response but ive been trying to look for it locally and have had no luck. Would you happen to know of any sites I could purchase some? I tryd searching for it but didnt find anything that looked like what i needed!
This sucks big time and am kicking myself for taking it off in the first place thinking nothing of it. lol I dont want this to be a waste!

just use some of the shrink wrap from the ol home depot, most of it is rated for electrical connections.
