What to do with that 3 AAA holder from your Magnum mod? Clip one pole, drill a hole, solder in a 401 connector, wire in a switch, use a 10440 for direct 3.7, with one battery slot open for a cart or really small juice bottle.

The whole thing is recycled. 3AAA holder from a LED flashlight, switch from an old computer mouse (rated 3A, 125V, IIRC), connector from a dead 401 battery, wire scavenged from same, 10440 battery from joye stick, epoxy as needed. Works surprisingly well and I really like it with an 808 cartomizer adapter, other than the airflow is really open with nothing sealing the back of the battery connector. Amusingly, a cartomizer with the caps on fits very nicely in that third bay. The switch has a nice click and is a bit recessed from the edge so it's unlikely to accidentally be hit, but I try to remember to take the atty off for pocket transport anyway. Makes a great backup.

Wow, I could make about 30 of these.
I keep them on a shelf and just cycle them with the 3 AAA carbon/zinc batteries in the 1 or 2 unmodded flashlights. This is a real use for them.

It actually still fits back in the flashlight, but a C bat would be nice...bound to be some dead toys taking C bats around here somewhere...

the innovative use of throwaway stuff is an art.
I dug out one of my old 3 AAA carriers that I had rearranged the contact to fit one 10440 cell, with 2 spare non contact spare slots.
In this photo (just disregard the dollar store flashlight with laminated high conductivity washer in the front with a 801 to 510 adapter pressed in and a quarter sized blowout plug at the other end) the carrier can be used for one active 10440, one spare 10440 and a spare cart or D-1 carto. The D-1 and adapter just fit.
Your inspiration was the cause.
Two 10440 cells don't last me long.

With all the great ideas i've gotten from ECF modders, I'm glad I could cause one. Now, if only I could complete even a quarter of the projects i've started I might have something like what you want disregarded (nice BTW).
