Paranoid much in the anti tobacco movement?
It is just as possible that the 'break in' was to remove incriminating evidence. Not saying thats what happened but as an another option it's just as likely.
Not sure how stalling the directive will help BT, tobacco sales are already slowing in Europe and BT is moving east and south.
Actually stalling the plain packaging will help the EU fight smuggling and fake brands more than hinder BT sales.

The directive is also proposing the ban of e-cigarettes.
