The professor of the human sexual behavior course looked out over the hundred or so students filling the auditorium and decided to run an experiment.
"Let's start this course with a baseline," he said. "Understand that this is not scientific, but it should be enlightening."
"By show of hands, how many of you have sex once a day?"
About 30% of the class raise their hands.
"Alright, that fits into our bell curve. Now," he continues, how many have sex just once a week?"
Again, about 30% raise their hands.
"That's still within norms," he says. "Once every two weeks?"
30% more.
"Once a month?"
A scattered sprinkling raise their hands.
"And finally, just to be complete with our informal survey, I'll ask although I doubt there will be anyone raising their hands as this is quite an unhealthy sexual lifestyle, but, once a year?"
In the middle of the auditorium a single hand shoots up and begins waving frantically as the student starts shouting "Me! It's me!"
"But sir," says the professor, "you realize that this is,well outside the norm and not necessarily healthy. Yet, you seem excited?"
The student bolts to his feet and yells...
"It's tonight!"
