Maybe I should expand on that a bit more. :D

For me, one of the big things I wanted to get away from when I quit real cigs, was constantly feeling a raspy throat, congestion, etc. With most e-liquids, I still get a bit of a dry, scratchy, raspy throat, and sometimes some congestion if I'm puffing a lot.

Smoothness is what I want from an e-liquid. and so far, only Freesmoke and Johnsons Creek have given me that totally smooth vapor that I want. And Freesmoke doesn't clog my atomizers, like JC has.

So, although I can't afford it right now, if I could, it would be worth it. And the two bottles I still have are precious to me. I switch back to them whenever the other stuff starts bothering me too much, to give my throat a break.

Not really. It's not the nicotine. I doubt it's PG itself, or I'd get that with all of them. Unless it's the amount of PG. Maybe the smoother stuff has a lower ratio of PG.

Or, perhaps it's impurities or contaminents in cheap ingredients. Some people here have mentioned food-grade PG, thus implying there are different grades of purity. Perhaps other manufacturers use lower quality PG.

All I know is, e-cig.com juice makes me feel like I've gargled hot sand. Same with most manufacturers juice. Janty, and Jane's, are better, but still a bit harsh. JC and Freesmoke are smooth as silk.

And this is not the throat kick, I'm talking about. Even with the smooth stuff I feel a different sensation than the harshness, concentrated in the back of the throat, that I associate with the nicotine kick. THAT feeling I'm OK with. :D

i first noticed it badly with ruyan cigar fluid leaford.. i had to stop using it.. so i dont think its a "cheap" liquid thing..

my last attack was with the wicked liquid.. at first it was okay.. at the end of the day it got nasty.. the next morning (after the nights rest) it was still nasty.. as the day wore on it disappeared.. i cant induce it now even if i try..

the cheap e-cig stuff hasnt bothered me..

i havnt figured it yet.. but it worries me a bit.. he he

do u have any thoughts on exactly what part of the liquid causes the raspy throat effect leaford.. ??

the odd times it hits me that badly i cant inhale without coughing.. i connect it with heavy use.. but i find it comes and goes even with the same liquid which puzzles me..

trog I don’t think it’s the liquid, Its probably the screwdriver aka the iron lung, that thing looks like it could give you a raspy head never mind throat. LOL I’ve had a sore throat myself this weekend, I’ve had to stop with the franc pipe it gave me a ear, nose, and throat kick, a little bit to much for my taste. I really liked it at first. I find juice with a lot of alcohol stings my throat. don’t know if that’s the case with the franc pipe or not. Could just be a sore throat.

What flavor do you like? I liked JC juice for the smoothness too. It just needed more flavor. Started using menthol crystals in Jane's mint juice today and the menthol greatly reduces that back of the throat kick and irritation. You just get a warm feeling back there that gets warmer the deeper you drag. Much smoother than straight juice. More flavor than a Kool.

I am interested in the ingredients of eliquid and why they are added to the juice in the first place Gnu. The liquid shop partially lists their ingredients (they don't list flavourings) and it's the same list as Freesmoke. They both claim to be manufactured in a Spanish pharmacy. This is no guarantee of purity or quality from either because of this unfortunately. Europe is just as likely as anywhere else to have its fair share of con artists with no scruples about potential hazards of inferior ingredients. Freesmoke also claim to have toxicology tests for their eliquid.

Apart from the reports made public by Pillbox and Ruyan we are asked by all sellers to take it on faith that they don't lie and that they have our best interests at heart. We are given no evidence that this is true and that testing was carried out in a meaningful way. We have no legislation or regulation on our side to ensure safety claims.

Don't trust anyone too easily about what you inhale, remember their primary objective is to make money out of us. If you don't see evidence of safety claims there might not be any.
