The more you realize you don't know.

I was watching a review of the itaste 3 from grim green on YouTube and he said something interesting about it. (Not a direct quote) he basically said he talked to invoking and they said that once you set the watts, the device will check the liquid delivery system and adjust the volts automatically. Did I understand that correctly? If that is the case, is that a standard feature of most vv/vw setups? I like that idea.

the reason I ask is that I would like to get a vv/vw with that feature, but I really want smaller, stealthier. I would like smaller than an MVP. I came across this pic in a thread here and really like the size of the shorty in the middle! The ones on the end are about as tall as I would like to go.

im assuming these are mods or are they just battery holders? I am not ready to start making my own coils yet, or soldering or doing kickers or any of that. I would like short and simple.

I have plenty of ego and 510 carts and tanks I can use in my limited inventory. I am looking for something smaller, metal and adjustable. Would you make a recommendation?

Thanks!

To give you an idea this is a small "Smok Mini"Zmax vv/vw that works with 18350 imr batteries .

In picture its compared to its brother "Smok Zmax" which uses 18650 imr batteries.

Also have the Vamo (not shown) and useing the 18350 battery its 1/4 taller than the Zmax mini.

Have been using them for least 6 months and they work nice.

He is correct in saying that in VW mode the device will self adjust the voltage based upon the resistance of the atomizer.
That's the great thing about VW.
VV on the other hand requires you to find the right setting of your preference. Not a big deal, as you can either just find what works good, or look at a chart, or do some simple math to get in the ballpark.

As far as the mods you pointed out in the picture, all 3 of those are mechanical mods. You don't get VV or VW with those.

That is a grand vapor private ... it's a mech mod. I *think* that is in 18650 mode but I am not sure. It isn't possible to beat the size of a mech for any given battery, but you can probably find a VW mod that is that small with ah 18350.

Yep, I have one of those. Great little mod. That is however, in 18350 mode.
Even when in 18650 mode though, it is half the size of my vamo with a protank....= )

I'm thinking what they meant was that the device checks the Ohms of the coil and adjust the voltage to meet the wattage you have set it for. That is what vw does.

Thanks for the explanation, Debra. That makes sense.

I am still learning about mech mods. I think I need to see one IRL to grasp it.

Dieseler,
The mini z looks nice. Looks to be about the length of a 900 mah ego battery.

Thanks for the replies so far! Feel free to throw any links as I am not afraid of research.

I didn't know that. Hope it's true. Yesterday I ordered the Innokin iTaste Var Voltage/Wattage Express Kit- Pearl Chrome. Hope it does the same.

So look for a vw with 18350? Does that fall into the telescoping category?

Yes it can. But some mods come with different tubes to fit different battery lengths.
My vamo came with tubes for 18650 and 18350 batteries.
Also Innokin SVD is a telescoping mod that works with 18650, 18500/490 and 18350 batteries.

Have you been to fast tech yet?

Yep - that's what VW means. VV, you change voltage, but VW, the device changes voltage FOR you, depending on the resistance of the coil you happen to be using.

Small models with Variable Watts are more rare, but you could look at an Innokin MVP - it's a box shape, rather than a tube - but may be more pocketable than mods like the VAMO...
The Sigelei ZMax mini, I've seen recommended a lot, too.

I have, yes. Unfortunately I am too impatient to wait a month saving up the money and then 2-3 more weeks for the product. ;)

not much to understand really it is a tube with a button. whatever charge is in the battery is the voltage you get. no setting no adjustments. anyone can use one but getting the most out of one takes a little understanding of resistance and voltage etc.

for newer people a VV or VW device is much easier to get going with a solid vape.
