Still new at this... I'm having my morning coffee as I type, along with my morning vape of "Sticky Buns" with an extra shot of brown sugar flavouring in it. I find that as my taste buds have not yet recovered from all those years of smoking I sometimes need flavours with an extra "added kick."

I've also found that there is a technique to vaping. One doesn't just suck it down like one did analogues. It's a little more... ummm... sophisticated than that, lol. If I really want to taste the full flavour I have to take in a hit, then prior to inhaling let a little vapor float out and up to my nose, then inhale. Makes a world of difference in the taste. I tested this by vaping a few times with my nose pinched closed and found that I tasted nothing at all if I couldn't smell it. You know how that first hit often feels like it has more flavour than the 5th hit? Well, I found if I do the "let it drift up to my nose" thing I continue to get the flavour all through the whole vape session.

Regarding technique, I watched a video of a psychologist who is doing a study on vaping and quitting smoking. She referred to a test done where novice or non-vapers had been given vape pens and asked to smoke them. Then they were tested for nicotine level and found they got next to no nicotine. The study was then repeated with experienced vapers and they were allowed to use their own vaping equipment. After vaping their levels of nicotine were appropriate to what had been vaped. So it appears that knowing how to use your equipment and correct technique may be an important factor in getting the nicotine required to not have cravings for a cigarette.

Anyway, good morning wakers and vapers :)

Um Vape pens, there's the low nic intake problem right there. lmao. The better the gear the better the nic intake, flavor, clouds of vapor, and vape technique goes out the window. With high quality vape gear and re-buildable atomizers and high watts, it don't matter what technique one uses. Smoke it like a cig, cigar, water pipe, even the Jimmy Durante method works well for great nic intake. When I used an ego style battery and protank, I had to use 24 mg nic to satisfy my nicotine needs, now with a great regulated device, excellent rba's and Mechanicals, vaping at max watts, I am forced to vape 12 mg nic or walk around in a daze for an hour. I still can get a nic buzz when chain vaping 12 mg, but rarely have the nic deliriums that I had with 18 and 24 mg nic.

I vape more like I am smoking a tobacco pipe than a cigarette. I don't do a full lung inhale, it's more like a short draw then a longer one. On the longer one the first short one is exhaling through my nose. I feel the vapor of the second draw in my throat then exhale the whole thing. Yeah, to me its more like a pipe than a cigarette. As far as comparing a cart to a tank? Its like comparing gas consumption in a 4 cylinder to a V8 motor. The V8 is going to burn a lot more gas like a RBA burns a lot more eliquid than a cartomizer. In a cart I going thru 3ml a day. With an RBA you can double that. So nicotine delivery is dependent on device and draws. That's of course with the eliquid having the same amount of nicotine mgs. People often have to adjust their nic level when switching between the two.

Mornings have been the toughest, but I cant imaging going back to now after having something as tasty as banana cream pie in the morning, smoke free for almost 2 weeks, its taken me 20 plus years to get here !!

Congrats!! Almost 2 weeks for me, too! I know what you mean.... there are tough moments... and then I grab a wet paper towel to clean off my computer table and log onto the forum, and I realize there're no ashes all over the table and I'm stuck there holding a wet paper towel in my hand. I'm going to save thousands of dollars on paper towels alone, lol. You just can't beat that, lol! You don't realize the impact it has on your life, in just even these little moments, until it happens....

+1
once you start to use more efficient delivery systems the technique thing goes out the window. i dont even inhale and vape like a cigar, occasionally blowing out through my nose and at 12 -16 mg it still kicks hard in some of my atty's

That I have found out, lol.... my local vape shop switched me from the cheapie pen to the Kanger re-buildable tanks/cartos (which honestly aren't that expensive considering the difference) and the adjustable voltage Vision Spinner battery and yes, immediate difference! It may even be cheaper for me in the long run as once you buy the tank, the coils are only 3 bucks and change....
