Alright ladies and gents perpare yourselves and please dont kill me i have yet to even attempt this idea but i was just considering is it possible to build a parallel series mod (explination 4 18650s split into two parallel sets and the sets wired in series) in theory it would be a supermod pushing the volts a series mod would amounts but able to withstand the amps a parallel mod could but of course that is theory and what works on paper does not necessarily work in real life

Do you have any idea why?

I mean I get the impression that you're thinking about playing with doubling the voltage of what you normally use and doubling the current, but fundamentally what you're really doing is getting 4 times more power than what you'd get from one battery.
You could just stack the 4 batteries, but I'd prefer stacking 3 batteries because that's 12 volts and if you have a mod that runs off 12 volts it means you could power it or charge it off of a more common 12 volt source.

It's actually the power (wattage) that counts.

You can run a 1 ohm 28 gauge coil at 16 watts at 4 volts and 4 amps
or

You can run a 0.33 ohm triple coil (3 1 ohm coils) 28 gauge at 48 watts at 4 volts and 12 amps
or

Problem i like my .08 and the lipo idea just fixed all my issues pricey yes but manageable i will probably have to build a little higher now with 7.4v but with a 150 amp limit ill never have a problem again ill be able to blow coulds for days with 5000 mah

Any idea what that three lead thing would be for? I think all id use would be the + - leads

I expect the third wire is connected between the two cells. You need to use that for the balance charger. It is very VERY important that the cells be evenly charged. You cannot just charge all the cells together with 9 volts across the battery. You need a device called a balance (balanced?) charger. You should find a LiPo expert to explain it to you. I am not one. I just use 18650s.

May as well carry around one of these. You could put it in a fanny pack and put a 3ft cable on it too your atty. Its less than the cost of two 18650's too.
