So yesterday I stop by a local B&M.
Was a little out of my way but I had heard good things about it, so took the wife out to eat and swung by.

Small store, not much equipment in their display cases but a decent selection of premium juices. I appreciated the fact that the young man behind the counter didn't blow a giant cloud in my face as I walked in the door. We talked for a few minutes about some of the premium and I decided on a bottle of Cuttwood Boss Reserve.

I always try a few house juices but with my experience in the past (and many 3/4 full 30ml bottles at home) I asked for 2 15ml of some juices I wanted to try. The guy behind the counter disappeared behind the magic lab curtain and returned shortly with 2 bottles.

I paid for my stuff and went about my day.

Tonight while at work and organizing my stash I discover this:

bottles.jpg

The bottle on the left is a premium 15 ml I bought a week ago, the middle is a 15 ml of one of my DIY concoctions that needs some work, and at the right is the "15 ml" I bought from the B&M.

Of course I came up with a couple possible solutions to this:

1. Maybe the bottle shrunk in the Texas heat while sitting in my car when I ran into the grocery store for a couple jars of Cookie Butter...
2. Maybe the B&M uses a super secret steeping method that compacts the flavors and bottle a bit...
3. There is a mini worm hole inside the bottle that transports a small amount of e juice from a larger storage bottle somewhere in a distant galaxy.

Could have been an honest mistake. You won't really know for sure unless you go back to the shop and see what they have to say.

The ones that irk me are the ones that charge a premium price for a 15ml glass when in fact their 15ml glass bottles have to be filled to the very top to get almost 15mls in them and no, they don't fill them to the very top. It is bad enough now (not really for me because I don't buy from them anymore) but it is going to be even worse when the tax man sticks out his hand wanting his money too for that extra ml or 2 that isn't in there. You've already paid for the juice that isn't there.

I am getting into DIY.
But I like to support the vape shops I run across and I know that e-juice is their real money maker so I always try a couple of their house flavors.

Went to a little store about 2 hours away yesterday while out of town for something else.
I talked to the guy that owned it for about an hour discussing various flavors.
He must have had 200 sample bottles of stuff he had mixed up...let me try as many of them in my RDA as I wanted.
He was engaging but not pushy, knew what he was talking about, not pushy and was really trying to support the vape community in his town.
Bought two 30 ml for a decent price and a mutation x v3 for almost as good as I would have got it online.
I have a list of 5 more of his recipes to buy next time I am down that way, I would have done it yesterday but after 2 online orders and 2 B&M visits this week I think I need to slow down.
