Its a easy set up. and a its a geny;-) it dose what its supposed to. I did the EA atty beta test the atty was a flop so Mika sent us the EA geny since the Atty did not get off the ground.

Got one of these also. Can't say I'm very impressed. Even tho we may not have paid for it directly, I think it still has to be seen for what it tries to be: a $160 (€120) gennie.

Is it worth that kind of money? Not to me. Not by far. It costs $10 more than the Kraken, which to me is better in just about every way.

I'll try not to go off on a long rant... All I can think about the EA Nebula is; "What the .... makes this a $160 atty?!". Brass posts? Are those lead-free brass posts? Air flow control? The insulated wick hole, which I can barely fit a 2.17mm wick in?

Im ok with it. Remove the insulator if you want a bigger wick hole. The 160 was supposed to be for a beta and a finished atty but as your aware it was a flop. No biggie to me. Im just happy I got a consolation prize. I think your being a little overly dramatic about the lead free brass bit.

I also got a cool very finicky pain the rear atty with my name engraved in it for my 160$ that makes it worth it! We knew it was a trial he was very up front about that, no use getting all victimized over it.

I am happy we got this tank for participating in the beta. A nice gesture compensating for the flopped tank. Like you, I think it's cool to have a very limited run, personalized tank... even tho I never had any great success at making it work reliably. That's no big deal. I knew what I was getting into.

IIRC, we only paid €75 for the beta tank. Again, not getting victimized. I knew it was a beta and could well flop. No hard feelings at all!

€120 (~$160) is the what the Nebula tank sells for at the EA shop. That's why I think it's only fair to compare it to other higher end atties. For me, the Nebula doesn't really have anything special about it to justify that kind of price.

It's not as easy as removing the insulation to get a bigger wick hole. If that was an option, I would simply do that and say that was a possibility. How to explain it... you'll get a MASSIVE wick hole, where one edge of it is the center post. No way to get a wick in there without the coil completely shorting out on the center post. One solution to this would be to include an alternative "loose" wick hole thingy without the insulation part. Obviously this would not be insulated.

Lead free brass is just something I expect in this price range.

Just keeping up with the ECF tradition when ever you rant someone has to throw it right back at you, but your not playing buy the rules your supposed to come back with some snipy but not quite an insult so the mods wont delete your post;-)
