Hello to you all,

I just wanted to say hello and let you all know that I am new to the forum. I am also new to vaping, I have been a two pack a day smoker for the last five and a half years, and was just recently hooked on Ecigarettes or PV's. this has gotten me to quit smoking the real thing all together. In short I love these things I started out with the N-Pro model and moved up to the No.7 brand, I like the No.7 alot but I am now getting ready to order the Joye 510. is this worth the buy?

Thank you, Crazy

Hi and welcome! The 510 is a great little kit. But since you've been vaping awhile, I wonder if having your pv the size (sorta) of a real cig is that important to you? If not, I strongly recommend getting a 510 eGo instead. It's the 510 with a bigger battery. The battery is bigger around (cigar sized, maybe) but it lasts hours and hours longer than a standard 510 battery. They are almost the same price, and the battery life is waaaaaay longer. Right now E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings has Joye eGos for $39.99 (an insanely low price..and you get two full e-cig set-ups) and they will revolutionize the way you vape. One battery can last an entire day. If you want something the size of your N-Pro or the No. 7, then the Joye 510 is an awesome little pv, too. Just a suggestion. I have both, and LOVE the eGo. Totally.

Welcome to the forums. I've just recently started as well. A 510 is a great model but they will need to be recharged throughout the day since they offer a slimmer "cigarette size" battery. If you'd like less hassle with recharging, you may want to look into models with larger batteries, if you're comfortable with it.

welcome to ECF and a new addiction (vaping)LOL If your looking for a better traditional ecig I'd suggest an EGO Although I'd say skip that step and move to a simple all mechanical mod such as the GGTB NEW GG Telescopic Battery electronic cigarette It will last forever, the cost isn't that much more and your bound to move into mods sooner or later anyway

BTW they(GGTB) will be back in stock in about a week ;)

Hi and welcome to ECF. The 510 is a solid little starter unit, but the battery life leaves something to be desired. It might seem the next logical step but most people quickly move on to something that has a longer lasting battery. Within a month of receiving my 510 I was ordering an eGo, and I was smoking 1/2 to 1 pack a day. Many others followed the same path as I did. If you're smoking 2 packs a day you'll quickly tire of charging batteries with a 510. An eGo or Riva will give you around 8 hours of use between charges. A Mega eGo will go a few hours longer. 2 batt's will easily last a day. I'm not saying you should buy an eGo, it's just something to consider.

Welcome! Brace for eGo/Riva recommendation wave. LOL

Ha. You're right, FreakyStylie...here it comes. In all fairness, though, the reason we recommend the eGo is because it's just that good. And with the LF sale going on, it's nearly as cheap as the Joye 510. Just want the newbies to be informed of the choices..... Both are great pvs....but battery life *is* an issue, no matter how ya slice it.

Welcome to ECF and remember Freaky started this, the 510 is good but you will soon be going up again to the Joye 510 eGo, so you might as well just order the eGo and skip a step. Is a great pv with lots of flavor, throat hit and tons of vapor. Be sure to order a drip tip and juice. A drip tip is just a couple of bucks and you should give it a try and see if you like it. It comes with cartridges so you don't need to order them to try. You may want to order a pack of cartomizers to try them as well. That's my 2 cents worth and the second part of the eGo wave...lol Happy vaping!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Wow you can't even get the second wave around here!

Oh yeah, I've got mine! I wouldn't recommend regular batts to anybody unless they were way worried about the "cigarette" look/feel. Just thought it was funny - I wanted to just type "eGo", but there are a minimum number of characters to post.

I got two of the LF deals. Should be here tomorrow. A pink one for my wife, and a blue one for a Christmas gift. :)

Agreed to the battery life> I started w/ an EGO although nice and longer bat life than other mosfet battery traditional ecigs, I still found myself charging 4 batteries a day so moved directly into mods w/in 2 weeks and gave away the EGO since it did nothing but collect dust LOL

Excellent advice! Do this. I wish I would have just thrown in the "variables" when I first started. A couple extra dollars to get a well rounded experience.

Everyone goes with suggesting the eGo, so I'm gonna have to throw in my vote for an Inferno. Pretty much the same thing, except your carry-around battery is 1000mAh instead of 650, and your second battery is a 650 USB passthrough which is usually an expensive addition to other kits. I think they offer the best combo of batteries. Other kits have 1 big battery, or two smaller batteries, or a single passthrough only kit, whereas the Inferno starter kit gives you the best of all worlds.

Size dose matter I love the look of the eGo but am not a huge fan of the bulky feel of it. One other question I have is what is a good site to order the 510 from?

I just ordered my 510...and so far it's working ok for me. I only have 2 batteries and they last me fine (of course I just ordered a 3rd battery b/c I like to be prepared). I ordered mine from Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. Super quick shipping. I ordered my kit on a Sunday and had it Wednesday. My bf, a super heavy smoker, loved my 510 so much he ordered an Ego from the site on Thanksgiving and had it this past Monday.

I wish I would have gone with the Ego but so far the 510 is meeting my needs so far. I may upgrade in the future but I want to make sure that vaping really is for me and will positively help me quit smoking analogs.

hi ,and welcome, ive vaped 4/ 5 weeks now ,started with joy ego,may i suggest the sale at freedomsmokesusa.com if its still on.
i'd forego the kit stuff and order at least 2 mega 900 mah battery{$15}, 2 mega 510 atty or carto [$7}?and box of 5mega carts{$3}.coupon code is smoke
they dont have the fast usb ego charger listed i think but they will sell you one from their kits. if u ask . i got the charger elsewhere such as liberty flights myself cheaper.cheapest way to start i think.
i much prefer the mega atty and cart {lasts way way longer} the regular 510 just requires refill to often for me
good luck

Just about any vendor on this site. I've been highly impressed with every one of them I've dealt with.
